    My guess on the "big reveal" is that the game is coming to console and/or going free to play.

    I really feel bad for them, they did the best they could taking a survival MMO and making it something else.

    The game has been out long enough now and if it was going to get better it should have happened already.

    I hope they learned alot from this.

    there are aspects of the game that are fantastic...the parts that arent are really rough.

    as someone who is heavily tapped into the game and all news regarding it, I can promise you the game isnt going f2p and it indeed is a console launch. On top of this, whats been hinted at and leaked so far is that there will be an update with a new raid, pvp island, a big msq update, swimming (potentially underwater zones or naval gameplay), and a potential zone reworks. This is whats been found from the very little info we have from vague hints and leaks

    With regards to everything else,
    1) the game isnt in need to "get better" in the way that youre implying. The fundamentals of the game are good and new world can consistently hold 100k+ concurrent on steam if the devs kept a consistent flow of content, which brings me to my next point.
    2) people havnt stopped playing because they dont like the game, most stopped after they announced they wont be bringing any real content for the next 5-6 months AND they decided to completely keep everyone in the dark until then. To add to the problem, theyve invested so much of the team on this console port and the huge update thats coming from the june announcement, that their seasonal updates have been nothing short of lackluster in terms of quality. On top of this, they just continue to piss people off by posting videos that they have no purpose existing (like the one linked here)

    This isnt the first time people have made similar statements about the game. People love being doomers until the next big update comes and they forget all about it.
    With that being said, this update better be as big as theyre making it out to be (and theyre making it out to be massive) or they lose a lot of trust with their playerbase.

    Most of the players have decided to take a break until this update. Dont mistake that as the game dying.

    LoL! Brand new account coming to white knight AGS New World! Who would have thought ?! People left cause the game is empty of content...people left cause AGS can't deliver a single patch without including more bugs then before and in time. You want me to continue telling you why the game is DEAD ?

    New World has always had the players return after a patch. This does not mean they will again and this content drought has been so long, I am not sure they will. Everyone I played the game with has moved on and not played in a long time. In addition, we can see exactly how the game is doing given multiple websites that report player numbers. New World has never fallen this hard and I am not sure what will save it this time.

    there are aspects of the game that are fantastic...the parts that arent are really rough.

    One thing I really disliked about the game was that everything was a gear score...I disliked it when that was introduced with WoW and have disliked it ever since....I didnt feel like I had a sword of uber killing, but that I had a 235.
