World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic is almost here. Set to go live today at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT, the updated expansion also got a patch by patch refresh video and a launch trailer to mark the release.

    It's so stupid that they did this. This was the first expansion that was really unpopular and a lot of people quit then. They ruined Azeroth with it as far as I'm concerned. I feel like they are going to have a major drop off in players now. Should have left it at WOTLK. At least could have given people the option to stay on the Wrath version.

    It's far cheaper for them to do this than try to get a team together to make new content for classic+.

    Pandaria and Legion still have fans in the private server community so I can see Blizz going to those, which unfortunately means also doing the expansions in between.

    Ideally, they'd make Wrath+ instead with new places to go and new dungeons/raids.

    That's what I thought the Pandaria thing was going to be only to find out it was more like a long event.

    Cata is why I dropped WoW. There have been a couple of good xpacs since then, but I hated what it did to the feeling of the game world and the "seasonal" direction the game took after that. Seasonal in Diablo and ARPGs is fine. "Seasonal" in an mmo kind of ruins it for me. I have zero long term connection to my characters in WoW with a seasonal system.
    Bring back the Naked Chicken Chalupa!
