Somewhere in the world someone is impressed by this achievement.

I just stopped by to mock and smirk.

Somehow I feel it's on the same level as have 43,000+ posts on mmorpg.com (most of which I assume are as inane as this one.)

But I guess I'm probably wrong, because someone with forty-three THOUSAND posts on mmorpg.com will clap back with something like "one post troll noob" or "you made an account just to say that so you're worse than me" *huehuehue adjusts fedora and adds emoji while sweating profusely*

You see we don't care if this is your first post or the fact you have taken a leap in the dark to attack someone who spent 18 years to do those posts as opposed to the guy you seem to be defending who cheated for 3 hours to get max level. You still get a:

    Welcome to the forums! :)

So someone abused the system and blew past 2/3 of the game, what an achievement.

Cheating and reaching an achievement , that is no achievement at all. Should be ashamed of trying to.

Probably why they didn't just ban his account outright, his antics were useful to them.

Thing is as celebrities, streamers can do no wrong and live in a media world of their own; if one of us was to start a thread saying they had done this, well from this thread you can imagine the response.

It just doesn't seem like a legitimate achievement to me. He cheated to get it. It would be like claiming a new world record marathon time only to find out he rode on the back of a motorcycle for 95% of the distance.

Wow very original. My 74 yo dad makes jokes about preparation H. I guess you both missed the memo that those stopped being clever or funny about thirty years ago. Oh well

Its sad that he was so butthurt over this he just had to "show Blizzard". Please, its pathetic and will not mean anything in another 48 hours as we enter the weekend "news" cycle. Anyone remember any server firsts from any MMO recently especially a relaunch of a former expansion? And if so, what are they doing now? Probably the same thing - earning pointless achievements in a video game that nobody remembers in a day or two.

People are welcome to get their kudos however but acting like exploiting something is a real accomplishment or that it means anything beyond "look at me, look at me" is just sad.

It's not really banworthy to take advantage of their mistakes.

I love how this was achieved using the EXACT SAME exploits when the original Cataclysm launched and it was a Paladin from the EU servers who got World First, forgot his name, begins with an 'A' i think.

Though i think he was banned afterwards, i could be getting my expansions mixed up though, i just remember a EU Paladin kept getting world first max level consistently due to making use of various type of spawn exploits.

If that were the case no one would every get banned for using a cheat, unless we are talking third party software they are all studio mistakes. He probably did not get banned because he was a streamer, as I said they can do no wrong.

He did not cheat, he abused exploits.

    Big difference.

Sadly, things can never be the 'same' due to social media and the advancement of the internet. Its not like tactics like these were never used in the past, its just less people knew about them back then (and honestly this whole showboating was less of a big deal back then too).

To me abusing exploits is cheating, but gamers have never all agreed on definitions in this area.

It's definitely not cheating by most definitions.  He did content available to everyone that didn't impact any other players or the economy.
