I heard this is only something like 6-7 hours long. Is that true? If so, $50+ is a crazy asking price. I have Gamepass so I'll play it there but if I didn't I'd wait a year or two for a price drop like I did with the first game.

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

It's not just that it's 6-7 hours long. It's a 6-7 hour long game that is 90%walking sim. If Senua could do a light jog, the game would be 2-3 hours long.
And even the "combat" and "puzzles" that make up the remaining 10% are such a huge step down from Hellblade 1.

The original game isn't much longer than that and it's amazing. It seems, as long as someone is interested in this type of game, that it will be equally amazing.

My complaint with story driven games is that they're usually way too long.
I love The Witcher 3, but that game could easily be split into parts. The DLC are as long and meaty as most standalone games. I appreciate that it's a single package for a great price (even at full price), but it can get overwhelming.
I haven't started Hellblade 2 yet. I'm still knee deep in other stuff I'm trying to finish. I ended up buying Eiyuden Chronicles Rising because it was only $12 (with GamePass discount) and it's been a treasure. I still need to start Hundred Heroes.

Length is a consideration but pacing matters more. I've played 70 hour games that felt like a constant, exhilirating journey, like Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana or FF7 Remake. And I've played 6 hour games that felt like a slog, like this one.
I bought the first Hellgate many years ago on some sale for 10€ but have never played it until a few days ago. I knew that it was a story driven game but I still wasn't prepared on how much of a boring walking simulator it was. Made it 1,8 hours in until I had to uninstall it because those annoying symbol puzzles made me furious. Sadly I was a few years late for a refund xD
owever, the immersive world of Senua’s Saga requires time and dedication, much like any academic pursuit. In this context, if you're juggling responsibilities and considering to pay someone to take my online class to free up time for gaming or other passions, it’s crucial to weigh the ethical implications. Just as Senua faces her challenges head-on, embracing the learning journey with integrity will ultimately be more rewarding.
