Gotta say that was a pretty damn cool (pun intended) video. Stuff like that gives a great feeling of immersion. I still am not optomistic about it releasing anytime while I'm still breathing air, but I do like what I am seeing with this system. Oh and the studio developing this is Visionary Realms not Vicarius Visions.

I don't think the Vicarious Visions team cares much about Pantheon as they are now Blizzard Albany and working on Diablo 4 expansion.

Something just occurred to me; editorial mishaps aside; if these guys charge so much money just to have people 'test' this game content; how much money do they plan on asking for when the actual game comes out in public release??

I mean think about it, all these people pay hundreds of dollars just to test some of this content and some time down the road in like 20 years these MF'ers might release all of it to the public for FREE.

The disconnect between the language used in the article, like saying it's "already in the middle of Season 3", while the game has not yet released is glaring. The audacity to "reflect" on an unfinished game as though we're all in the middle of it is quite something. We keep blurring the lines between games in development and those released, both in the language we use to discuss them and in the transactional elements that grant access for money. With how this is going, your great-great-great grandson can come here to read about how season 133 of the beta is going. Hell, they may put out expansions and sequels for the testers without any of this ever making it to release. Why not, given that people will rightly complain about paying $60 for a buggy released title but gladly fork over $100s of dollars to play a buggy beta build?

I look at it from the point of view that this game is released.  The moment they allowed anyone to buy the game and play is a release.  Its open to anyone in the public to play.  So from that perspective I will judge the game for what it is.

    What it is:

    • The game resets your progress every 6 weeks.
    • $50 - $150 lets you play 1 week every 6 week season.
    • $250-$500 lets you play 2 weeks every 6 weeks
    • Or $750-$3000 lets you play for 6 of 6 weeks.
    • Barely has any content.
    • Looks like absolute trash.
    • Has very few mechanics.
    • Has very few spells.
    • Combat is trash.
    • Gameplay is trash.
    • Crafting is trash.
    • Mobs are trash.

    I rate it: Trash

Progress is progress. Whatever helps them continue develop their game is a good thing.

It is nice to see some actual progress. I know alot of people doesn’t come from the Everquest era. For me this looks promising - and i dont mind the 2010 graphics as this will allow for some nice dual boxing.
i have a 4090 gpu, but i still play on EQ TLP servers :)
