Pax Dei Is Hosting A Preview Weekend Ahead Of Its Early Access Launch | MMORPG.com

While I give them credit for doing a free weekend, it doesn't change my overall opinion of the company or their "game". I won't be supporting this, won't be buying early access, and won't be paying attention to it until their full launch. There is no real game here currently. What they have shown before in test weekends/weeks was promising of what could be. But that could be was still years off development wise from being an actual game let alone a good game. They seemed like a cool company going a more old school route of integrity over cash grab, but after they got some good faith from previous play tests...here comes the cash grab.

All I want to know is, did they fix stack sizes and is crafting un-fubared? If no game is doomed.

Good Luck. Its a transparent way to approach EA, but still paying 40$ to alpha/beta test a game for an extended period of time is still a no no specially when you have no information about how monetisation will be down the road, and come on .... its an alpha ... see you at release Pax Dei if you ever get there.

PS: more respect if refund period is extended to 24h/48h after free week so that new buyers that didnt participate to free week have equal opportunity to try it before burning money.

Like I said, it's really asking for a donation and they are giving their benefactors perks. With early access games there is not a lot to play, especially this title.

The issue is that a good many people won't be able to understand that.

Possibility of an upfront cost for the game with probable monthly fee to come afterwards. Yeah I feel like this game is gonna have the niche-iest population ever.

I think my biggest issue is selling the housing plots via the upgraded packages but not clarifying how much those will cost to keep after launch? It seems they have confirmed they HOPE to scale your sub based on the amount of property you own, I don't know if this means the folks with 4 plots will pay $50 a month, or will it just be $3 dollars more than the standard with 1 plot. Heck, we dont even know what the standard sub will be.

It's a housing plot. It lets you claim land and build

It's better than no time with the game at all for those that haven't tried it yet but may be interested. From what I've seen it looks heavily PvP focused so it likely wouldn't be a good fit for me.

Oh, I read it, I thought there was a more general way people could get codes other than watching streamers. Well, I bought early access so maybe they'll send a code. I don't really want to watch "some streamer" that I don't know just for a code.

It actually was much easier. Just find the Streamers that instantly sent you keys just by whispering their mods. I grabbed keys for each of my guild while everyone was working. Lucky I work from home most day.
