Eh, I'm probably in the minority but a hack n slash ARPG would be just fine with me. I used to love CRPGs with turn based combat but that love affair is over. Don't have the time or patience for it. Bioware's games tend to be 90% blah blah blah and 10% action. Again I'll pass. I know people love those "choices matter" plots full of morally ambiguous decisions where everything you do, no matter how well intentioned, has some unforseen consequences but I just find it tiring.

"Bioware" has not been able to make games in the genres it once made great games in for yonks now.

How horrible I am truly disappointed that they did that to a great franchise ....morons. There are so many slash action games. Great turn based needs more games. Damn it so angry now.

Bioware is dead any way. I just finished playing through the Mass Effect Legendary games and I am truly sad that I will never see anything like that ever again.

Look, honestly, I'm not turned off by the idea of it shifting to third person hack and slash/action, as long as they keep squad commands. Mass Effect 1-3 aren't turn-based, and they're far superior RPGs to any Dragon Age game.

Bioware is a walking zombie by now. In early 2010s it would have been unthinkable to say that, but over the past decade the EA / Bioware / players triangle has turned into an abusive relationship that by now has run out of most of its energy and just goes on out of habit, spite and greed.

After all the changes and restarts on this game, most of the key people long gone, more recent layoffs, several complete changes of direction more reminiscent of a headless chicken, does anyone even know what this game is supposed to be? Does Bioware know?!

Only Dragon Age: Origins was a decent game I actually managed to complete twice.

Dragon Age 2 sucked balls and Dragon Age: Inquisition was interesting the first couple hours, but then after you unlocked your castle, it just all fell apart and turned into a boring mindless grindfest. Never managed to finish that game beyond that point.

On the other hand. Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 I thoroughly enjoyed and replayed countless times.
Way better writers on the Mass Effect franchise (the "beaten dead horse" ending of ME3 aside) and the gameplay just suited me better too.

So, after all that has happened at Bioware, the exits over the years, the mass layoffs, etc.... I am not interested in any Bioware game anymore at this point.

Bioware died when Ray Muzyka left the company.

The first Dragon Age was good , second one I could not tolerate beyond an hour in. I never finished Inquisition. I enjoyed Mass Effect a great deal.

DA 1 was such a masterpiece, DA 2 narative was ok, little more limiting in term of scope and character building/customisation, but after that it went all to hell and now we have a copy pasta of God of War with autoplay pets (oups companions).

    I’ll slightly disagree.

1st game was great and I played it for about a year. 2nd game was very good BUT suffered from reusing areas.

last one was so dull that I quit it several times, only to power through and finally get to the castle.

Couldn’t play it much after that, it was too dull.

Was just logging in to state this same thing. smh. EA has really really gone to hell. And this Dragon Age, Mass Effect, these were their two really, non sport, franchises. I really hope the talent that is/was Bioware find a new home and start putting out quality games.

Can't seem to find any leaked video other than youtubers who announce "15 minutes of game play" when they really mean that "15 minutes of game play will be shown on June 11th."

    That's crap.

I also hope they hire someone to make better weapons, all their weapons look too big. Their staves look like boat oars as do their swords.
