" even though the passive skill tree was far less forgiving and was the reason I dropped the game"

Stopped reading after this. Your opinion isn't trustworthy if you found simple passives difficult to grasp.

Okay, no. This is just elitism. Complex build creation is my lifeblood as a gamer, and it is really, extremely easy to make a non-optimal or outright bad character in Path of Exile.

This is not a criticism. The game is great. But it also WILL fuck a player up in Act 6 and on if they so much as prioritized the wrong stats. And I don't mean like, fuck around with no defenses and find out, or take magic skills on a physical character. I mean like a new player has absolutely no way to intuit that their ass is going to get outright one shot if they try to play an evasion tank

Not to mention the game is absolutely loaded with unintuitive stats. Why do we need life leech, and total life leech per second and maximum total life leech per second? Stun/block recovery sounds totally useful until you look it up and find out it isn't.

POE made neerly everything better than Blizzard imo, Blizzard of the last decade or so isn't the real Blizzard that offered us so many well loved games, its just another corporate money making studio managing and milking great IP's for whats they are worth.

And I won't care either way. Because I'll be playing a Monk, Druid, and Warrior.

Are the bundles going to be $600, or just $300 - $400 and packed with P2W? I love it when cult followers explain why this studio (GGG) playing their fucky "pay for advantage" monetization games is okay, while they like to troll other games that charge $50 - $70 for a box fee. "But but but It's F2P and I have no standards if I don't have to pay!"

Watched a 10 minute gameplay video of the Witch and I must say that this is by far the best iteration of a necromancer I've seen so far. There will be like 400 different monster types and you can resurrect any of those as a minion, this is just awesome and the aesthetics are just spot on. Looking forward to this game!

What do they give in the bundles that is P2W? The effects? Stash tabs?

Stash tabs are not P2W they are acceptable in a free to play game. Care to elaborate what the P2W part of the bundles were please.

It's just not that simple. It's a matter of comparing the quality of the games, and what is actually being sold.

I look at Warframe, and it has a bajillion times more content than Destiny 2, which used to be a box priced game. I also find it way more fun. The fact that Warframe is pay to win is a non-sequitor when everything is so reasonable to earn, and the whole point of the genre is to earn things. Paying for anything other than cosmetics/slots actively makes your experience worse, by robbing you of the point of the thing. Warframe is not just the best f2p game on the market - it is THE best looter shooter, and one of the best third person shooters ever made, and it would be a damn shame to turn one's nose up at it because f2p.

I look at Path of Exile and it is night and day better than Diablo 4. It is deeper, it has better level design, better lore, better pacing. The only win I can give Diablo 4 is that it has character creation and non-genderlocked classes. Admittedly these are a a big deal to me personally, but they don't outweigh massive skill trees or frequent content drops. Optional stash tabs and cosmetics are a small price to pay for that.
