36V, 9.8 Ah battery? That is the smallest battery I have seen. Minimum average is a 48V, 10 Ah battery for ebikes and those are normally your budget and cheaper priced ebikes. Also only a 300W motor, that is also small and budget bikes usually run a minimum of 500w motors and the newer models hitting at 750W motors. I highly doubt you will get 50 miles on that one.

Also consider your weight of yourself and weight of accessories you put on a ebike. Some might not think accessory weight matters, but I am talking about things like large bike bags for bike tools or storing water for your long bike rides. The more weight, the more the motor and battery has to work which equates to less mileage on a charge. But anyway, ebikes are a blast, and if you never tried one and are interested, look into one. Some areas have places where you can rent one if you want to get an idea of how they feel. There are many types of ebikes to, from road bikes, all terrain with 20" wheels, full on mountain bikes. Different systems to, to consider. Do you want a cadence system to where the motor kicks in when it senses a rotation of the pedals? Or do you want a torque system where the motor doesnt kick in until it senses you are putting allot of pressure when pedaling. Torque system can give you a little more workout then the cadence.

Interesting I wonder how long does the battery last at full speed?
