After finishing with my last game and watching the Fallout Tv series I decided to give Fallout 76 another shot at least for a bit (had not played it since late 2019 early 2020 and only made it to early 20’s level wise). Grabbed the subscription for a month so I could make my own server and recall the basics, test weapons, play around with the CAMP etc.

Once that was done, I headed on to the multiplayer servers and an event called Fasnacht was going on and most of the 23 other folks seemed to be there. Joined in and it was enjoyable, (at least for this event it seems level 2000’s and below 50’s can work on the event together) maybe by the 3rd go I was pre-prepping items to complete stages and make it go faster.

Just finished double experience weekend, including some Fasnacht runs, hit level 39 and earned enough caps to buy that fixer weapon plan so I can make my own at 40th. Hopefully there are more popular events like this that people do this weekend.

There were some changes from what I recall, most importantly I noticed it included a world just for constructing / testing building a camp which I don’t recall from before, so you are not wasting resources playing around designing.

Maybe this Legendary change is taking some randomness out of the process? Unfortunately, I don’t know enough about this to form an opinion.

I am still not sure if I will be sticking with this game, I might just have Uranium fever from watching the show which will pass, and I have yet to try 7 Days to Die so have been watching for this launch /relaunch at the end of this month.

As a long time player, it does seems that the changes to legendary crafting will give players some level of control over the crafting and its something we have asked for for ages. I hope it is done well. With this and pets potentially coming, I may be returning longterm.

That's great that it looks like a good legendary crafting change to the vets of the game.

I do recall reading something that was data mined recently about travelling pets. I certainly wouldn't mind running around with a dog again  :)

There is a doberman ally that was never released. FO76 is essentially pulled from FO4. I'm curious if they mean combat or travelling companions, or if the rumored dog companion will be relegated to a camp ally. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_allies

The legendary crafting changes are most welcome. I'm also looking forward to the enemy and weapon balances. My main is still a bloodied stealth fixer/handmade commando, but he's branched out to other fun builds. No railways though. I just don't like how they feel or that damn choo choo sound.

I'm going to take a break after I get all the goodies from this current battle pass. I hate the new "Fortnite" format.
