Fractured Online is now officially out of Early Access. Today's official launch came with a new server, and a bit of work needed on the existing one.

    It's a decent game - needs 20 more developers and another year in the oven.

    I tried again; I have been a player since the very beginning. I just get bored after a few hours. I loved this game, but not anymore. I have no time or patience to do everything again from zero and wait for another death shortly after "release." This ship is gone. I wish them the best btw.

    That's where I'm at in that I already leveled a character and built 6 homes - so the wipe pretty much ended me.  If I hadn't already done it once before I'd still be playing, but the thought of doing all the work again kills the fun for me.

    That's why I don't do long-term betas or Early Access. When the game is finally complete with all its features, you don't care about playing it anymore.

    Starting in early June last year our 7D2D server ran for over a year straight, and I personally played on it for over 2300 hours across 1750 game days (2 RL hrs per game day.)

    I renovated 6 POIs (in game structures) which were used as forward crafting bases across our 10 K map.  I constructed a mountain fortress base and Gyrocopter launching bay by tunneling clear through a mesa and an all steel forest biome super fortress / museum.

    It featured my collections (in every color of course) include bicycles, minibikes, motorcycles, 4x4s and Gyrocopters along with dune nights, dirt bikes, helicopter from BDubs vehicles, over 95 in one place, all protected by 47 automated sniper turrets.

    We built several bridges, I dug out several canals, one which my friend and I built a wooden 3 mast pirate ship, big fun.

    My friends built similarly and one far exceeded me by building a mountain monastary, hunting lodge, several roads, a massive crafting base and about 7 towering steel horde bases which we all helped with.  I built 3 smaller run and gun horde bases, the first named Fort Apache the Bronx, with two more named after Alabama and Tampa.

    Almost forgot the best part, killing zombies.  Using a wide variety of vanilla and modded weapons I lead our server in z-kills, over 65K  (we won't discuss the 37 deaths, most were due to lag of course)  ;)

    Yet, after all of that, about 3.5 weeks ago we all made videos or took screen shots of it all then I wiped the server /map and we restarted naked and afraid, and are feverishly leveling up (I'm already at lvl 147) and getting ready to build it all once again, but this time, bigger, faster stronger.

    You might even want to come join us if you don't mind hanging with a bunch of eccentric old curmudgeons.  :)

    7DTD is a crafting survival horror game. In that order. Fractured is not.

    7DTD is a zombie killing, tower defense, crafting survival horror game. In that order.
