So a new patch just dropped today, and this patch is a complete total mess. So if you were playing this, due to early access, Ubisoft now says you have to start a new save, otherwise things will break.
To be fair players could just wait for the reviews before they buy? I can't blame a studio for having issues in early access.

This is in early access?
Of course some players are complaining.

I will for sure eventually play this Open world Star Wars game but i can definitely wait until next August when it is half price or lower. I like Ubisoft games for the most part but don't really like them much as a company.
In Canada its:
- $89.99 plus taxes for the base game, this does NOT include the 3 day early access headstart.
- $144.99 plus taxes or the *Gold* edition, this DOES include the 3 day early access headstart plus the season pass.
- $169.99 plus taxes for the *Ultimate* edition, this DOES include the 3 day early access headstart plus the season pass, plus some in game fluff and a digital artbook.
I guess folks that didn't get it for free really wanted those 3 days for those price differences.
If it was almost any other developer I would be more hopeful. After playing Avatar, also an open world game by Ubisoft, I feel this will also leave me underwhelmed. Many of the negative comments given about SW Outlaws were the problems I had with Avatar. Maybe when I can get this game on a really deep discount. I will jump in. Maybe after they have also fixed allot of the bugs.

Mid-core gave deserves mid core pricing. My guess most will wait for a really good sale. Gold has the season pass for the rest of the content. So I will wait for Gold to be on sale for about 40-50 Canadian. If the game gets fixed of corse.

And don't forget the dlc's are not even out, I will wait about two years before buying and its nothing to do with price. I just want to play the whole game as one experience like we used to.

Yeah i agree with you there ,better to have all the DLC with gold 70% off, or just get the *complete* version after the DLC comes out when its on sale.
i think Valhalla had all the DLC churned out within 10 months so Ubisoft doesn't drag their feet on that usually.

Yes, Ubisoft does well there, you can take that into account when purchasing. Some of the Warhammer games will release dlc's three years down the line, most annoying. But it also depends on the dlc's if you know its just going to be cosmetics why wait?

Three years later for the DLC? Well i guess Warhammer aka Games Workshop do march to the beat of their own drum. i have been eyeing the Space Marine game coming out soon but it wont hurt to hold off.
Star Wars Outlaws hopefully wont have that issue and usually with Ubisoft the DLC's are quests and new areas, not just the cosmetic fluff. That's instead fed to you on a daily basis with their Connect shop. I remember seeing things like increased experience / silver in a single player game, but someone must be buying it or it wouldn't be there.

Also if you have UbiSoft+ ($18 or $19 per month) you got the Ultimate edition and early access. I've seen a lot of posters say that they resub when a new Ubi game comes out and then cancel once they're done with it.

Total War Warhammer 2 came out in 2017 the last dlc came out in 2021, but as a fan regardless of the wait I am of course glad they keep coming out. I played this one in 2022 I think after I noticed a long gap and no new plans for dlc's. But in some indie games you know you are not going to get many dlc's even waiting a year is likley too long.
"P2W" in a single player game does not bother me unless gamers are saying it has been made so grindy to tempt players that way. If players want to finish a game early so be it.
They took bits of other games, tossed in a bag and shook them up, painted a starwars skin on them and then hyped the game. I hate to admit i fell for it and preordered. I spent 2 hours playing and praying it would get better. it didnt.
Scot tries to resist saying "I told you so" about pre-ordering and fails miserably.

Yeah the P2W single player increased silver / experience was more amusing than off putting. I am sure Ubisoft will put some cool items into the connect as well for Star Wars Outlaws, historic Star Wars outfits and the like.
The last Warhammer game i played was Warhammer Online which i enjoyed for maybe 8-10 months. The more i look at the Space Marine game, the more it keeps grabbing my attention for whatever reason, which may lead into purchasing some of the older Warhammer games.

Some multiplayer games have to be bought earlier than I mentioned or you won't have people to play with when you join late, others like Total War have always been good so far no matter how late you join. The new SM game does look good but as always wait for the reviews.
