Is Easy Anti-Cheat Effective

I have a number of games that require Easy Anti-Cheat and was wondering if it's an effective tool or are there better ones games could rely on?

    Well if you have to use it then you have to use it, maybe there are better ones but if you want to play those games you are stuck with it.

    People don't like gaming software that has kernel access.  That's my guess, but I can't speak for others.

    Whether it is effective depends on what you expect it to do.  If the purpose is to allow game developers to tell their executives that yes, we are taking measures to stop cheating, then it's very effective.
