For a long time, for years now, the idea of big tech companies going after one another by underhanded means has crossed my mind plenty of times; i don't know if it really happens, but i would not be surprised at all.
If a British news tabloid can hack the phones of deceased people, i guess it's not that much of a stretch of the imagination for billion dollar companies to pay outside sources to go after their competitors.
Then of course there are people who'll just do it for free, and whenever the feeling strikes them. xD

I bought the Dawntrail expansion without a 2nd thought. FFXIV has been a great MMO for me over the years. But Dawntrail went -what has proven to be- a very unpopular route in the pursuit of the so-called "modern audience". Whether one agrees or disagrees with that, need look no further than other recent game launches that have tried the same thing, and has not gone well.
I only wish I had done more research before Square Enix got my $50.00. But it's been fun over the years.
The younger generation needs to know how Microsoft Built themselves into Being Microsoft.
I'm not saying Bill eats b----s or anything but all those small businesses Microsoft stepped on leading up to the Antitrust suits sure do have reasons to dislike them.
Letting things like that go or letting them get brushed under the rug is exactly how predators like that operate.
Enjoy your game!

I just finished this expansion today and to be honest the whole thing was exhausting. The challenge of the duties, more cut scenes, dialog yet less time spent in each zone and lots of wasted potential. Previous expansions really brought each area alive,in this expansion each area felt like a museum of props with some amusements put here and there. I didn't feel as connected to each zone and the struggles within them.

So it's the modern audience who are perpetrators of the Z-DoS attacks! I knew the Gen-Z'ers were up to no-do-goodery!
