Calling one of the protagonists "the historical samurai" might not be true. There's a lot of controversy surrounding just how accurate that claim is, which is probably why Ubisoft bailed on the Tokyo Game Show. There's been some real Japanese historians that have questioned where the guy Ubisoft used for this game got his information from.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
Yasuke was no "historical samurai." Any serious historian here in Japan will tell you so, since if that had ever happened there would be proof of it (just as there's proof that he was here for a brief time), especially since it would've been something really notable and worthy of being mentioned. The rest is just a fanfic that that Thomas Lockley fool tried to pass as real history in the West for years, including editing the Wikipedia citing his own book, while not doing so in Japan because people would've noticed his lies easier. But the fact that at this point we're still having to talk about this is ridiculous beyond imagination. And it's also a disrespect towards the real Yasuke.
In regards to the game itself, I guess that it's to "fix" some of the historical inacuracies about music, buildings, etc. But unless they also address Yasuke (and properly apologise for the last months), they can move the release date as further back as they want and gift as many expansions as they like, yet their game will still be an utter failure. Especially since Ghost of Yōtei is being released next year, too, and most gamers will just support the better franchise (unless DEI screws up that one, too).
About the TGS part of the notice, we all know why they decided to cancel that. Not corageous enough to try to say again, right in our faces for once, that which they've been saying until now when they defended their game. To make things worse, their last screw up (the broken tori gate) is still very fresh. So, yeah, they just ran away like cowards. Not surprised at all.

This right here enough said.
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

I don't feel they are delivering what the fans have been asking for.
