Here is an advanced tip. If you want to level your skills fast use your ornate coins to buy purple skill books. You can dissolve them 1 at a time for 10 blue skill books. Compared to the power increase in skill to cost of coins its mad worth it.

The game is way more fun, imo, if you take your time leveling up. There is no need to rush to 50 for PvP.

can you actually explain what this means?:

"Open-world dungeons are public instances where solo players or groups can freely enter or leave. During the day, open-world dungeons are PvE-only zones that are great for gaining some extra experience and gear. However, the rules change at night. The entrance is locked, and the dungeon becomes PvE free for all. Solo players and the unaware will quickly be hunted down and killed by roaming groups of PKillers."

Because that didn't make sense at all.

Should that really mean "pvp free for all?"
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

These dungeons are not really locked at night, you can still enter, but since everyone farms as a group of 6, you will end up being killed by other groups. It becomes PVP FFA, idk what PvE free for all means tbh (guess you're technically still killing mobs?).

More likely it is just a typo and more importantly if everyone farms as groups of six is that not "forced grouping"! ;)

Nice, sounds like Darkness Falls in DAoC. Now I almost regret giving this game a pass. Almost.

Heard it has that mobile game / Lost Ark time-gated endgame of doing 2-4 chores a day and then log off?

It's free....try it for yourself and stop listening to what other people say.

Maybe your time is for free, but mine is actually the most precious thing I have. I don't lack money, I lack time.

Then by all means don't make decisions for yourself, and listen to what other people say.

Funny that in the attempt to be snide it comes off a counterproductive and silly. Most people who value time, make their own decisions.

It is prudent grouping as the odds are heavily stacked against the soloist in that scenario unless the character can easily avoid detection.

It's free to play. Try it out. All you have to lose is a couple of hours if you don't like it. Personally, I have enjoyed it so far.

It should read PvP free for all. I'll work on getting that changed.

Very. Only thing it doesn't really do is your traditional mmo crafting; if you're looking for that you'll be disappointed.

If you're looking for a new MMO for either traditional PvE content, or PvP, it is very good.

    And it's free.

The game is genuinely good whether you're looking for PvE or PvP. As I write this it is number 6 on steams most played.

You heard very wrong. It doesn't actually deviate from the traditional MMORPG endgame. It's closer to WoW endgame than BDO.

The amount of endgame loot, like pretty much every MMO i've played, that you can get on a daily basis is gated.

It's a bit like doing mythic dungeons in WoW for the tokens to upgrade gear, but instead of collecting tokens you spend them to loot endgame chests. They even have a thing similliar to WoWs weekly vault.

agree, if they don't have time, better look into other genre, mmorpg need so much time to get good no matter what mmo you play

Generally the "I have money but not time" crowd would rather pay to win than play to win.

I played it for around 7 hours and got a character to 14. The game looks great, the character creator was a lot of fun, with options on par with Black Desert. I used a control pad and the combat was basically holding down RT/RB and pressing a face button to execute one weapon's skills or the other. The skills would be on timers and when they were refreshed, you're basically spamming those skills. You can avoid being hit by moving away from telegraphed hits. The game was on rails for the MSQ but nothing is stopping you from doing side quests and going off the beaten path. Ultimately, I uninstalled it because the story was mundane and the 'cute' stuff, like the Sackboy that follows you around, does nothing for me. Like the onesies that people wear in Lost Ark and other 'Fortnite-eque' design choices, I'd rather opt out and look for something more mature and a little darker. I'm now waiting on the Diablo 4 expansion.

The "sackboy" is useful. Depending how many you have they give you various added bonuses like exp gain, weapon exp gain, gold gain, etc etc....They also pick up loot for you. You can turn off the animation and also mute their sound. More importantly in the Amitoi house you can send them on expeditions and they will collect hard to come buy cooking / crafting resources. Loots drops are very very low in this game w/o the amitoi expeditions cooking woud be much more difficult to level up.

I would advise take your time and level up doing the main store and the quest per region. You will get some nice rewards on your way to 50 which will help you in the long run, and take your time and do not just click through the quest dialogue, it is actually pretty good.
