Delves were honestly the best idea Blizzard had in quite a while. Torghast was a great idea but its execution was so flawed. Delves are kind of that perfect middle ground between just running M0 and doing lower end M+. It wont get you the best gear but its also not really timed like M+ which I feel a large portion of the community doesn't like. Keep in mind that Blizzard's own data has admitted in the past that most of their player base doesn't even raid past raid finder, so essentially having a more accessible way of getting higher gear is a boon. Honestly, I dont think raid finder numbers would change if blizzard got rid of raid finder difficulty and just made normal the queueable difficulty. Personally, that's why I stopped raiding at higher end because my hours started getting all over the place of when I could play, so having a queueable normal would be awesome and just leave heroic/mythic as is. Should add M0 to dungeon finder as well. It would essentially be like having all the dungeons at ZA/ZG cata dungeon level with all their one-shot gimmicks.

I'm not surprised Blizzard pulled the bait and switch with delves. Namely "hey we added a way for solo players to have a progression path but OH SORRY you need mythic gear to do the most challenging version!" They really can't help themselves. They simply must shit on the solo player. It's like in their DNA or something. It's fine. Plenty of single player and small group co-op games out there. Happy to take my business elsewhere.

Delves are great depending on the class you play. My ability to do them is very, very different based on my class. Love them on my Shaman, enjoyable on my Pally, a pain in the a$$ on my feral Druid. After a while the repetition kicks in and they are just another thing to do on a gear treadmill.

Found them kinda boring honestly. The underwater ones were especially annoying. I did most of them once before letting my 30 day sub expire. Grinding mythics over and over isn't my idea of fun. If you could run mythics with the NPC's i'd probably have stuck around. My time is too valuable to waste running dungeons with other players.

I don't play anymore, but my friends who do seem to approve of delves. I asked what they like about them, and they said they like that it's a way for a solo player to get better gear. I asked, "But are they fun?" and they replied that they were fun the first time, but (like everything in WoW), they get boring with repetition.

Since I value fun over gear, I'm happy to keep my distance.

Delves are another dungeon to get gear. They don't get it. World of warcraft is supposed to be an epic adventure. People enjoy just exploring the world. Not hiding in a cave. Reputation rewards should be the greatest reward in the game as it is the biggest amount of time. Don't get me wrong the Runed Crests at the end of the reputation are nice, but the greatest reward should always come from just playing a game.

M+, Raid +, delve 1-11 is just repeat, repeat, repeat. Put some rare stuff out there, let people find it. Give dungeons a little better chance to drop it. 1 percent of people is being generous at doing actual mythic content. No one wants to pound a wall in an epic mmo. Arcade games are supposed to be difficult, rpgs are suppose to be for escaping hell and relaxing in a space. Raids have become an arcade game that you have to repeat time and time again. The top guild in the world just did over 400 pulls on just one boss. Blizzard will have to nerf the game by 50% for regular guilds to even compete. Yet, everyone pays the same subscription.
