Nothing wrong with taking extra time, far too little polish in the gaming industry today.

How long are you going to leave this click bait up.

"PC Bnet Players can now download the update. You may need to restart your Bnet client to see the update for Diablo IV.

    We are now LIVE!"

As of 8 hours ago per the forum post you linked. I personally confirmed the expansion show live in the bnet launcher. I think we can dispense with the whole "hopefully" language. Also, according to the same forum posts the reason for the delay was making sure all players got access to the expansion at the same time. It had nothing to do with the game being rushed out the door and them trying to get some last minute hot fix in.

Anyway... DRAMA! CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE!

Did you think that as of 8 hours or so ago they might have been asleep.

Mephisto threw a wrench into the release schedule. He's so evil!

With that said, if we are re-treading the whole "evil, corrupted church" thing again, I would rather not. We already had that with Zakarum / Sankekur ... not as visceral, sure, but still.

Gonna check D4 some time later.

I think the fact that the headline of this article remains unchanged and the word "hopefully" is still in the body indicates they never had any intention of changing it regardless of when they went to bed.

Is the game up or not?

The game has been up since yesterday late afternoon / early evening Pacific DST (GMT-7).

The expansion is awesome. The new class rocks. It feels more mature now that some kinks have been ironed out. It sort of feels like Diablo III did after it dumped the RMAH, published a few seasonal changes, and released an xpac; just more well rounded.

I saw some people online who used to post here, but didn't get a chance to chat.

This is exactly why I called this article click bait. People see the word "delayed" and think in terms of months because that's usually what that means. The delay here was hours. The launch was otherwise buttery smooth. This article exists at this point to sow confusion and should be pulled.

    Right.

Blizzard can go and fuck itself. Hope Microsoft does BAD things to it. So they see and experience how it feels.

While I was ready for them to slap "LEGACY" to ALL pre VoH items, I was almost certain they wouldn't(it's a braindead move that only costs them players). And I don't care how long it takes to get back to that level.

    I am done. Fuck Blizzard.
