Just wanted to state my appreciation to their collective hard-work over the years for STO by all the former Cryptic Studios folks & wish them well.

    I have been playing STO.
    since 2010.
very sad to see the decline in production.
    as far as seasonal updates.
as it's been put on life support.

But don't worry guys everything is fabulous in the gaming industry, as long as you bury your head in the sand.

You mean drip feeding little content, removing content, removing Foundry and instead having a primary focus on adding ridiculously overpriced Ships to their Cash Shop?

Yeah that is some collective hard work to the benefit of their players. lol.

It always brings joy to my heart to see a free-to-play studio wither and die.

For me I don't see joy in it I see many people worrying about making ends meet due to bad decisions made by the people uptop.

I feel bad for the people not the company.

I feel bad for the people but the ones that it will hurt, are not the ones that should feel the weight of the bad decisions and stupid moves. The CEO's and all of them have their parachutes and stock buybacks and all the things. The daily worker will have a small severance package (maybe). I just hope it's more than a one year's membership into the jelly of the month club.

They made some fun games but man the micro-transactions just kill them for me. The actual game play in STO and Neverwinter is really good but you need to pay to get anywhere.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

If you are working for a company like Cryptic, you've known for many years that they are a scummy free-to-play studio, and you've had plenty of time to look for another job.

I used to work for a studio that was exactly as scummy as post-COH Cryptic, and when they laid off a bunch of people and offered me a big promotion to stay, I said no, thank you. It made my life difficult and scary for a few months, but I've never regretted my decision.

Looks like we lost Kageno, do try to keep your posts civil and non-political guys.

I have zero attachment to this studio.  I'd even say STO is one of the most clunky and disappointing MMO's I've tried to get into.
