Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 is bringing some features you wanted and maybe some you didn't know you wanted. Larian detailed photo mode, cross-play, and new subclasses along with updates on the mod community and continued efforts there.

    I played the game through including as evil before patch 7. Doubt I would play it again through but it's cool they keep adding stuff.

    I think it was no expansions or DLCs. Presumably BG3 is doing well enough that Larian still has a couple of guys whose job is to make improvements and fixes to the base game.

    Yeah, although not mentioned in the article other than a way to "send things off in a big way",  Larian have said outright this will be the last Large / Major update to the game.

    I am sure you are right and they will still have a few guys keeping it operational.

    I can't muster the will to refute those posts these days, this expansion of article topics started back in the days of Bill and Suzie. These days if I do anything I cheer them on, you can't take them seriously. :)

    I always looked forward to rpg news or anything tangentially related. I've never cared about the purity of "mmorpg" news and was mildly shocked that anyone else would care to such a degree.

    Including news about Baldur's Gate or Elder Scrolls or some aarpg doesn't take away from any mmorpg news. I always considered it an added bonus.

    The fact is MMORPG's have spawned new genres like MOBA and came to influence the gameplay of most genres out there. But we have tech articles because gamers are often interested in tech as well; when they start doing articles on real world home furnishing or gardening I will complain. Meanwhile articles on in game home furnishings and gardening are welcome. :)

    Completely agree. In fact, I started coming back to this site recently because it had expanded its article base...especially for any RPG news....and sometimes certain things about hardware/software. Being able to leverage that information while still seeing the latest with MMORPGs to me is a bonus. It's not like they stopped writing about MMORPGs as well, so any complaint about expanded content is just stupid. As far as this particular article....I'm excited to see what they release. I was just about to jump into another play through after I complete the Mass Effect Legendary series, but I think I'll hold off until this update is released. Such a fantastic game by a fantastic company.
