    Exactly what I feared would happen with BG3, developers saw its success and decided to copy its most boring, mundane aspects instead of actually understanding why it was a good game. Now every game is going to be have visual novel relationships for the next 10 years instead of goal-based quest design, highly reactive world, etc., because those things are actually hard to do.
