The game got a new director several months ago, and he's making some really good changes to the game. They've gotten rid of the gachas, which are still technically there for another month, but you can't buy new tickets. Instead, the things that were previously locked behind gachas are now readily obtainable through normal gameplay. Yes, really.
They're overhauling some other systems to make it more practical for newer players to catch up. Shipbuilding is being changed so that you can just build the ships you want while you're low level without having an enormous grind. But that doesn't make shipbuilding level irrelevant: you'll be able to build a given ship in half the time if your shipbuilding level is high enough. They're also moving to a seasonal investment system to clear out the existing investments being dominated by old money.
You can't really go wrong with Elder Scroll Online; though at some point you will want to pick up the monthly sub for the infinite material bag.... i cannot play ESO without that damn thing active anymore.

Welcome to the forums!
Just one question is there any of those No-Subscription MMOs that does not also have a subscription?
Except it’s unfinished. You work to get to the main city and then…. Not much else.
Had some good ideas but IMHO was just half a game

Guild Wars 2 has no subscription option. I'm not sure of any of the others.
I actually totally forgot, but also, I get this deep sinking feeling that they might pivot on that...
But no, none of the others actually require a subscription. If any of them do have it, they're optional or for vanity or extra goodies.
