Diablo 2, Titan Quest 2, and many other sequels have gone on to be critically acclaimed

Has it? To my knowledge Titan Quest 2 hasn't even hit early access. It's listed on Steam as "coming soon", so how did it go on to be critically acclaimed?

Also, your second con is kind of a fully known expected limitation of the early access. They don't want to give out the full experience until it's ready.

I'd just have to kind of disagree on this point:

"GGG has been heralded for their decision to support their free-to-play title with a purely cosmetic and Quality of Life cash shop, avoiding the ‘pay-to-win’ items plaguing other titles."

They have so many items to keep track of that I think you simply HAVE to buy the back space upgrades. That said, it's very reasonable.

Now... do I buy this or do I dive into the Indiana Jones game. THAT is the question for this weekend

PS:  Also the pre-order packs come with store currency equal to the cost of the pack.  So the $30 pack grants access to the game and $30 worth of store credit.. which I guess I would use on back space...

Rumor has it that if you bought backpack space upgrades in the original POE they carry over to POE 2.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Diablo 4 accidentally fell down an elevator shaft at 14:02 EST.

Diablo 4 is survived by Diablo 2:LoD and D2R. We can't seem to reach Diablo 3 for a comment.

    RIP diablo 4

It had been discussed by the dev team. Stash tabs will move over to PoE2. League specific tabs won't transfer since the league mechanic won't exist in PoE2.

Sooner or later you all will realize I am from the future and sometimes mix existing titles up with future titles that haven't come out in your time period. Or maybe I am getting old and somehow find a way to swap one title out for another, like Ttan Quest 2 and Torchlight 2. You decide.

Actually, I've done this enough times now that I should make it a trademarked signature move for every article I write.

Indiana Jones is on Game Pass starting 8 Dec. if you want to try it before spending $80+ on it.

I'll be sticking with Diablo 4 because I like that universe better. Was never a fan of the original Path of Exile, and I doubt I'll be able to run 2 well at all anyway.

I could never really get into PoE1 because the camera was zoomed in too much. PoE2 repeats the very same mistake.

Probably still doesn't have a log files either so players can figure what actually killed them.

Always hated dying to invisible effects, animation lag or whatever it was randomly  killing me for no reason that I could fathom.

No, you have to uninstall the current game, re-download, create a new account and character and you start at minus level 10. B)

Haha, no really though. I would like to play but I dont want the character to be wiped once it goes 1.0. It takes me a long time to level. I am a filthy casual now ;(.

Well it doesn't really bother me I just keep playing that character once it is moved to non-season server. So I gather from what you said this will be their first season then?

I don't think it's even a season, it's just getting underway with partial content so probably better for both of us to wait for the full content to be released, especially the missing classes.

Now that I have tried it I can only say the control scheme makes the game unenjoyable.

    1. WASD is clunky af, not so much the movement but the fact that you also have to use other keys all the time .. flasks, other skills; it is just not possible bind them all to your mouse buttons.
    2. Since the game is completely designed for the WASD control scheme (everything in the game is designed around moving while using skills), using click to move feels wrong and also currently makes you move unpredictably.
    3. Tried controller, but that is its own set of problems like autoaiming the wrong targets, not being able to place ground effects, etc .. also once selecting controller you can no longer use mouse and keyboard which is kinda mandatory for item management (of which there will be a lot).

The problem is since they completely locked themselves into the WASD design, I seriously doubt it can be "fixed" with updates.

So all in all, maybe the game is ok, but the control scheme COMPLETELY ruins it.
30$ wasted, but owell it was a gamble and I knew it; just ... if you tried similar games like V Rising and you disliked the control scheme there, this is the same just much worse - So at least I would wait till you can try it for free.
