If the games I liked were playable on a mac I wouldn’t need a pc.

Are you talking about the now cancelled KOTOR remaster?

I doubt there'll ever be a SWTOR remaster.

    SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter

Not sure if SWTOR devs would ever see this thread or my little comment...or if maybe someone could pass it along...but I'd come back in a heartbeat if they did controller support. I still have it on my steam library...I'm just not a fan anymore of KB&M.

I like the controller in my hands...it just seems fun to me. KB&M feels like work. No offense to anyone. :)

Check this out if you open it through steam using “big picture “ you should be able to use a controller…

If the games I liked were playable on my Casio calculator I wouldn't need a PC either. ;)

Aren't they remastering character models etc?

The reason why I am interested in this is because I remember quite vividly way back when they changed the eye (models) colors. Let's say that it was quite an interesting stitch in time.

“meaning,” I’d rather have just one computer and my main computer has always been my mac.

Ahhh, I see what you meant.  Yes they are 'updating' the character models and if the LotRO reaction to that concept is anything to go by we're in for a heck of a lot of complaints.

This long into the game, people are attached to how their characters look and changing them never goes well.

While I hope for the best, I'm resigned to all my guys looking totally different.  Which will lose some of the attachment I have for them.

    Long term effect:
    - some will quit
    - some will just quit for a while til the rage fades (this was me when the 1st LotRO change hit)
    - some will put up with it

The only one's that'll be happy will be the brand new players (are there even any at this point?) that never saw the old models.

Have you tried joy2key? It maps your controller and it does not matter whether your game supports the controller. It mimics the KB and mouse. You can use the guide and get the game to work with it. I use it a lot.

Yes, I do not know what they are trying to achieve. Going by the history, they are only going to piss off the vets. And let's be real, that's all they have. Trying to bring new blood in is going to be exceedingly difficult. Mostly because, honestly, Star Wars as an IP is kinda inert right now. I don't see any excitement about it. On the contrary, I see a lot of trepidation and concern.

I was there when the "eye color fiasco" happened. Let me tell you, my characters never looked like themselves until they chose to revert(sorta ; they didn't completely) that change. Can't imagine what's gonna happen when the entire face gets remodelled.

I would leave it as it is. If they wanted to, they could have updated models and textures with Zakuul. Look at how much better those characters look like than our own. But that ship has sailed way back.
