Had to leave most blank out of sheer apathy towards the categories, but I did need to give Last Epoch a shoutout for best ARPG and Unicorn Overlord a write-in vote for best RPG.

Same I only voted on 3 categories because I played so few MMOs this year. I couldn't vote on a category in which I had played none of the titles listed.

How is there no Best Single Player MMO category? What a joke

Wasn't a spot in the final question to put in FFXI ?? game from 2002 low-key better than most if not at all modern MMOs these days (FFXIV included)

I mean you joke but WoW and ESO are very playable solo. SWTOR was at one point, but I haven't played in years to know if that still holds true. One of those would probably win.

I try to not put any of my hopes into these types of things anymore; because at the end of the day, it's the adult equivalate of handing out gold stars; and the televised award shows are just glorified ad givebacks and promotions.

    ...........

That being said, i would not mind seeing Palworld and Path of Exile 2 getting some recognition.

Also Crimson Desert..... but that game probably doesn't need any help, that and the Dune game.

They are all single player now, that's why.

Like some others I have not played many of these titles, some categories I may have played 1 to 3, others had to leave blank.

I looked up some of the titles that I didn’t recognize, and Foxhole looked interesting at least at first glance, will check into it more later so the games listing was convenient.

While I was voting it kept going through my head since I hadn’t played many of the titles in the categories, it’s like voting for the best movie while only seeing 1 of the 5 up for the award or voting for the best chili after just tasting the first. But it is what it is.

On the CPU working my way through Jedi Survivor currently, (Fallen Order was like a 25-30 hour appetizer).

Never thought of writing in a game, guess i could have used the Other field @Aeander

Playing Unicorn Overlord right now on the switch once wife falls asleep and its quite unique and magnificent. Only about to level 20 right now, closing on liberating 2nd country but the depth of the game play, story, and the musical score has me hooked. I know art is subjective but really think they did a fantastic job with that as well.

Runescape is the only rising MMORPG out of that list and it's not an option on best MMORPG of the year why?
Brighter Shores is on a list wtf. At this point you're just filling random games just for the sake of it.
Also there are a lot of games in the other categories that aren't from 2024 or are missplaced.

No Chronicles of Elyria?  Poll is fail. 0/10. Would not recommend.

Is art subjective? Yes. Is Vanillaware, and Unicorn Overlord specifically, highly regarded for their art style? YES!

Not a single game in the whole ballot that I played in 2024.

Interesting to note the only category which did not have an "Other" write in category was Best MMORPG of 2024.

That's about 10 years in a row this site has blocked readers from voting their conscience, which is "None of the Above."

Poll gets an automatic 0/10 for that.

The games in the most anticipated category seem to all be mmos except for Crimson Desert, which is a single player game, not an mmo. I think its inclusion is a mistake.

Best MMO of 2024 really should have had an "other" option so we could type an answer in.

As with most years, I left most categories blank as I either haven't played any of them, disagreed that any deserved recognition, or just flat out disagreed with the whole category.
