At least it looks a lot less cringe than 3. I'm open to this maybe being great.

To say that I've grown totally apathetic towards this franchise would be an understatement. It just looks like more of the same to me, if the formula isn't changed up, I see no reason to play this over BL2. Especially for just quick hits of loot gathering.
I like to complain about games.

Hard pass for me. Gearbox decided at some point that a major component of their games is to be a vehicle to push their political agenda on identity politics. While that's certainly their prerogative, I don't feel the need to support it with my dollars. I play games to escape all that. I get enough of it in my various news and social feeds. I want my games to be blessedly free of all real-world politics around current events or at least as much as possible.

It's not Borderlands to me without some extreme cringe, this just feels a tad (very) inauthentic to me.

Some cringe? Yes. I just reckon that the livestreamer twin villains of 3 were lame and too cringe.

Yeah they went too far cringe in BL3. BL2 was the exact amount of cringe and crazy ass villian.

    Never go full cringe.

Not getting good vibes of this 4th installment... to much DEI in those characters to be comfortable. And the studio expected the movie to do better (shouldn't have been released) so... not confident they haven't lost it.
