    They are saying full launch. I remember testing it a few years ago and we had about 100 players in one spot and it had basically no lag.

    It was very City of Heroes-like, except the graphics are much better.

    I'm surprised no one else has put out a competitor to Champions or DC Universe in the last DECADE. People like superheroes. You'd think someone would have cracked that by now.

    They have, just in a different format. Instead of the classic mmorpg, they tried in live service games like Avengers and Suicide squad. We know how they fared. So hopefully the next attempt is an actual mmorpg like DC universe.

    It's difficult to beat City of Heroes, essentially that was way ahead of it's time and still has some features I haven't seen in other MMORPGs to date. It's a very hard act to follow and pretty actively developed these days, at least on Homecoming.

    Champions Online is essentially in maintenance mode other power set revisions. DCUO is supposed to be shifting over to longer story arcs but who knows if they'll actually stick to that. It is very action oriented and fast paced in game play so may not suit some MMORPG fans. While CoH and CO are a bit similar DCUO is a thing all it's own.

    I tried it, wasn't my thing, UI was bad and was really buggy. GL to them though.

    I doubt it, and they seem pretty full of themselves with when it comes to the defense of the graphics, which got torched by folks during the last test.

    I'm not as impressed by the game so far! I'm hoping it works out and grabs my attention! Buy to play and I'm not sure this game is worth  a sub.

    City of Heroes is indeed a hard act to follow and I am not saying this game cannot do it but it will be constantly compared to CoH. 

    I remember the beta of CoH I was so enthralled because I had never come across a game with the 'organised chaos' gameplay it had and perfected by the time City of Villains came out. All the fun came from the numerous combination of powers different archetypes had and it would manifest itself in unusual and fascinating combinations and created groups that could do without tanks and healers. Truly revolutionary and fun.

    I am hoping to see even a fraction of that fun in this new game.

    those animations need love outside that the more the better
