    no one want to play this game even if its free so they have to give free t10, full pen armor and pen + tet black star weapons to lure people and yet player barely increase and even decrease right now with no maintenance rn on steamchart kek https://steamcharts.com/app/582660

    Well currently it’s over 19k. If you look over the year it yo-yo’s between about 10k and 26k or so, back and forth throughout the year. That’s not bad for a 10 year old game.

    To put that in perspective, Elder Scrolls Online has 11.4k players right now and it was released the same year.

    Well currently it’s over 19k. If you look over the year it yo-yo’s between about 10k and 26k or so, back and forth throughout the year. That’s not bad for a 10 year old game.

    Plus most OG players are not even on Steam but on the separate launcher, since old accounts cannot be used on Steam.
    Also the game basically has the same amount of concurrent players as it did when it launched on Steam in 2017 - actually even a few more (15-28K in 2017/18 and 14-34K in 2023/24).

    Love it or hate it, BDO is going nowhere.

    Free to play news is a joke though. Game basically only has a credit card check and is available for 99 cents most of the time.

    I got burned out of this game. Once you finish the story it is just grinding mobs or mats.

    Black Desert Online is like a paradise for a new player. But don't be fooled. The endgame is terrible. Don't waste your time! Lost Ark is a better option right now.

    BDO is one of the few MMOs I've played but never got to max level. The grind is just Zzzzzzz. Just run around in circles to pick a bunch of mobs, run you rotation to burn them down, loot, rinse repeat. There's only so much of that I can tolerate before I literally start passing out at the keyboard. Once a game literally puts me to sleep I'm so bored I move on, sorry!

    It has way too many options.  I've been with it since the beginning.  No water stuff/islands.  New zones look cool, but since I'm still working through zones.  For years.  I'm nowhere near any like, real progress.  Most of my time is working on city inventories.  Need more space.  More space.  Delete any building now space.  Years and Years of beer making, and SPACE.
