Thanks for that. This actually convinced me to buy gold road as the title didn't really sound so exciting.

And it seems it's on sale so got it for ~$14 with tax.

"I hope it can find new life either with another studio" (about Blue Protocol)

Tencent's Bokura develops Star Resonance for Bandai, SR's scope even goes beyond what BP was :)

For sure, but I was kind of really interested in the original pitch. I am watching what Bokura is doing, tho.

SWTOR is one of the best all around MMOs on the scene right now in my opinion. The class stories are good and the side quests flow well. It's very comfortable to play.

It's admirable that your "top of 2024" list has so much dedicated to MMOs. It surprised me.

ARK: Ascended is the mmo-lite I probably enjoyed the most this year.

Metaphor is one I want to pick up soon. It checks all the boxes and looks absolutely epic.

Metaphor is fantastic, playing it right now. I enjoy it a lot more then Persona 5 or the SMT series although it is a combination of both in a fantasy setting. Top quality stuff really. Romancing Saga 2 remake next.

'the only way he could nail it any better is if he used a cross.'

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

Gdemami absolutely not being an armchair developer

SWTOR is a shell of a MMORPG, Its a CRPG with Online elements. Full of EA's best lottery systems designed to milk its consumer for every dine it has, then steal its parents credit card for more.

SWTOR is probably one of those things that if you like Star Wars you'll enjoy it, and if you dont, you won't......I know I couldnt get into it (felt like a single player MMO when I played) but I was never really a fan of Star Wars either.

I really like Star Wars, but I'm burnt out on it like a lot of other big name IPs. I was much less tired of it when I played and might not enjoy it as much now. The game play/combat, class stories, and side quests were still interesting on their own. Strip out the Star Wars and they would still be well written and interesting. I think that is what made it last longer for me.
