Combat?

I've played ever for a long time quit twice rejoined twice but no matter what i do. Combat i always find lacking. I tried going pvping with some "major" alliaince. All we did was sit at two stargates with warp disablers and camped for random "enemys" to fly by and they die so fast you whouldnt even get to them before there pod was killed, and people whould consifder it an actually kill worth showing off on kill boards.

Now i ask anyone that does pvp combat, do you ever find  fun  fair combat?

which doesnt envole ambushing 1 person with mass numbers

    pirating, that's why so many people do it nowadays, belt piracy especially.

    Try starting a single man corp and war deccing on a 20-30 man corp. Prepare for some heart pounding.

    oh and you will be called a griefer, but hey who cares?

    Gate camping is not what I call fun. There is no exiting about a fight. No adreline rush, no nothing. And I think when people call it a kill worth showing they haven't been in a real fight yet.
    Now I can't say I have done much pvp but I do go to low sec. by myself to do some hunting. There you have to be carefull what you do as I am sure you know. A lott of people go to low sec space by themself to do some hunting as well. So when you do come into a fight with one of them it is fun since changes are (more or less) equil.

    I guess there are many corperations and alliances that work that way. But I am sure there are also a lott of them that does appreciate a good fight. For myself am still looking to join a corp but here is one who has my interest. Beyond divinity http://bydi.digilo.net/forum/ I don't know if they are still recruiting but at least they know what it is to have fun.

    Gate camping = worsed aspect of PvP

    Fleet battles = best aspect of PvP

    Sure, you gate camped, but you were probably only doing that to secure your borders.  The real fun comes in when it's 1 vs 1.... or 1 vs 2... or you're outnumbered period... or in fleet battles!  Good lord, nothing makes my underwear wet like seeing a massivley huge fleet jump in about 100k from mine!

    We can agree to disagree, or we can bicker constantly... either way, I'm right.

    I havent been playing EVE long, but i've watched a few PvP battles from a distance, and its been...different.
    I saw some peeps gate camping, not sure if that was to secure borders or if they were just camping to own a few people, no idea.

    I also saw a fleet battle from a distance and that looked AWESOME!!! I cant wait to get myself a cruiser and join in. =D or i'll prolly need a battleship in order to survive, lol.

    I think for PvP it depends on whereabouts you go to PvP, i've heard good stuff about 0.0 space.
