So why can I buy a DVD or CD and play it in almost any player
including my PC and port it to my PSP or other device, but I still have to buy
the same damn Need for Speed Most wanted tidal or what ever multiple times. so I
can play on the PC, PS2 ,PSP,xbox or PS# or Xbox 360.
And then the game industry wonders why people feel the need to pirate their
games or create emulators that they give out for free on Peer to Peer networks.
We can’t be the only ones feeling the pinch here, there are options they could
provide for the consumer. $50 per device for playing the same game i already
own sucks.

First of all... WHY would you want to buy any game for your PC, a PS2 and an Xbox or whatever???
Isn't one medium to play that game on enough? I mean unless its just like your favorite game in the world or something crazy like that.
I would check out good review sites like Gamespot for example for any game that is made on several different mediums that you are interested in. For example on Gamespot, Battlefield 2 got a really high score like in the 90%'s for the PC. For the PS2 and Xbox it got like a 75 or something which is only average. So there, you would likely wanna buy Battlefield 2 for your computer. And maybe say if you were buying San Andreas, you might go with the PS2 version over the PC or whatever.
Regardless plan ahead. I think it is silly to go buy a movie on DVD and also on VHS tape. Waste of money. Same thing here. The only way I see buying two different versions of the same game really is maybe if you wanna buy a game you really like for the PSP to travel with or something.
Hope that helps ease the "pinch" you are feeling somehow.

Why pay for multiple formats when PC is superior to all?
I'll never understand consule players.

Courts have ruled that copying music from one media format to another for personal use falls under fair use, so technically there is no need to buy the same music in multiple formats.
Of course the music industry did pull an end run on the courts by having laws passed to make it illegal to bypass copy protection. So, while it’s 100% legal for you to copy music you own to another media format provided it’s for personal use, it’s illegal to develop or distribute the software needed to actually do the copy a song from a "copy protected" CD.
Games are a little different however, because ports from one platform to another cost money and while it looks similar when played, the binary executables are vastly different.
