For those thinking of going back, DON'T. The community, the one aspect of SWG that was always great just plain stinks now. My nephew and I played around with his account until last week because the community literally drove him out. He couldnt find any groups for high-end quests like Nekrosis. He got flamed for advertising his goods, and worse stuff I wont repeat here.
Take a look at others' experiences as well. The community is now what LA / SOE hoped for, a bunch of immature kiddies.

im like whatever man /ignore it has become a pretty hostile place to play now days. loot mongers kill jackers nobody wants to group or help, blood wars start over loots. it was once a great game and had some really cool people in it. now i only know a few people and just kinda keep to myself....
I think that pretty much sums up the state of the game these days.
The other day I saw a couple of imperials and rebels swearing at each other with words the profanity filter wouldn't pick up... Makes you wonder what the next generation of people is goanna be like..

The community is worse than ever. Here are 2 of 37846587347534978578437856374 different times to prove it.
1. I get like 4 wg engines and people say... If u dont sell me that engine for cheap im never going to be your friend. Of course i didn't sell to them
2. Me and "My friend" were in dwb and sharing items back in forth of what we got. Well it was my turn and i got bl and he said, GIVe me that or im going to declare war on your guild and tell everyone u steal.
This game has fallen down the drain and is full of little kids who all they say all day is teh/pwn/kill/h4x/cry/gg

Bleh community been rotten for years.Community in this game died in the first year.

I am one of the RP how left the game when the roleplaying got killed off with the inclusion of jedis and moved on.
I did not spam the forum for months or lead some lame SoE hating crusade.I moved on and found fun somewhere else.
Take it as you wish but there is something not normal for people to spend months chasing some hate campaign against a gaming company because of a game.

I dont think so. I am glad there is a hate campaign going on. Other game companies watch SOE. What happens if they see people just move on quietly or accept it quietly? They will use the same dirty tactics. "Hey look over there, the players arent even mad. We can do that too. Lets change our game like SOE did."
But thanks to the hate campaign and the fact that players wont walk away quietly, other game companies can see SOE's tactics as foolhardy. "Hey look over there, the players went absolutely spare. We better not do that too."

I also found this extremly amusing.
It doesn't matter which game you play, they are all the same. So it's always better to adjust personal perspective.
I believe that smack talk in SWG is still limited almost entirely to pvp.

yes, we are campaigning against soe! lol. I'd hardly call posting on a forum about a game we once loved or saying how much soe sucks "campaigning". Most of us have a real life job and the thing we USED to do to unwind and relax is gone, so now we do this

Perhaps it is your nature to be passive and/or submissive. I, for one, choose to voice my anger and opinion. Especially when I paid for a service for years and it is suddenly changed.

Besides, anyone who's playing SWG sure as hell isn't involved in a war, nor is war one of their concerns. So let's not try and act like to much of an elitist there now hercules...you're certainly not fooling me chief.
