Fun PvP Class suggestions?

Anyone give me some suggestions-- Im buying the game this afternoon and would like to start out on the right foot.


I love casters-- especially casters that do good dps and can moderate the fight via Crowd Control. Having a pet doesnt hurt either.

Are there any classes that fit that roll?

Any information on the kinds of spells the mage classes get would be great.
Ive tried looking up information via the web but the class descriptions werent very helpful at all.

    i do want to know as well, cuz i love casters and PVP, (today im going to pick up a game card) but also how do paladins do in pvp. are they worth even trying? or are they pretty much just for PVE?
