rating screwed up on this game

this game in no way deserves an 8.1 rating. every time i visit this site it seems the rating is getting higher. this leads me to believe the rating is being pumped up by repeat voters. ive played this game and i can say confidently its the worst mmo ive ever played, and maybe, ever made. theres no way it should have an 8.1 rating. come back in a month and ill bet this game will almost be number 1 ranked, and thats just rediculous.

well...this game is a 10 if u playing with the right people, nothing is more fun then to be on teamspeak and go raiding colonies
On the other hand if ure a completely new player, i can understand if its boring
If everyone gives this game an honest rating.. then the system works. If you dont like the game, dont give it a 8.1 rating. However I DO like the game.. so I gave it a higher rating. We are all entitled to our own opinions..
I suspect that if you gave it a low rating.. either it is not your type of game... or you chose the wrong group of people to pla with (faction).

I know what you mean, I seen it on the top 10 one day so I decided to try it out.
Pure rubbish really is.. the worst game (not just MMORPG) i've played.
Sad to hear you only played World of Warcraft.
FoM has a lot of potential howewer the principal interest is the Roleplaying. I think also that the economy in this game is bringing a lot of interresting things
On the bad points we can say that there's several things that don't work
I personnally hate the new way of fighting that appeared with the new engine (crossair horrible, implants that can't be used at same time of an armor etc...)
But in my opinion, and even if FoM is an FPS game (MMORPG with FPS elements) the interest of the game is in the RP.

But I am sure they will come one day....anyway, at this rate, with all the patches they keep giving us....I will never leave, they really are improving this game at a great rate, and it is somewhat meeting its potential as an RP FPS game.

It seems like peeps under21 hate the game...
Peeps over 21 generally like it.
What this tells me is that it's a game for a more mature, older, and patient crowd. For this reason alone, I will try it.

Beta was the best time of the game, but it is getting steadily better, with patches weekly, if not more than that...
this game was in beta a long time, and the player-base only grew, because it was such a good game if you give it a try, like he said, try playing the gmae for more than a week and you'll see...
i dont see why you would play it for a year if it bored you.

maybe it was just the faction, i was in FDC...month or 2 before release..GM's started takeing over and our best leaders couldnt do squat anymore....the leaders got over thrown and could only do as if they were just demoted to private again

FDC Defied the makers of the game, thats why they were demoted...they were later reinstated, but i dont think that makes the game "bad"
This game is like no other games i'v ever played, think that you have to be more mature to really like this game.
So to all you CS kids stay away, don't come and ruin this game please.
And i think this game really deserves the rating it has. (It could even be higher, considering it improves so much all the time)
Real rating should be around 5 - I played it for a weekend and decided not to waste my time any longer. There are no missions available, unless you could get a leader-class players create one for you... Games community sucks, - when i logged (it where Sunday) I though I am playing by myself... no one would respond to me. Also one of the first players I met from my faction shot me in a back after i refused to give him some credits.... So in conclusion out of all MMO's I played - this one where probably worst one, from beginning you get feeling of deep sadness and boringness caused by lack of any content.
the game is not bad for all people, it all depends how you play...if you go and are like "OMG WHERE IS SOMETHING THAT I CAN KILL CUZ IM 1337 Pr0" well, thats not going to work...
then again some factions arent good for new people, i imagine you joined the mercs? the mercs are one of the factions where you are by yourself, and ought really stay that way, unless you join a squad...

No I joined Brotherhood (BoS), didn’t received much assistance from it's members thought... there where only one guy nice enough to show few of newcomers around....
I am not a person who just looking for killing stuff in my games, I like more economy-politic based strategies or MMO's than combat based - but fact remains that there wasn’t much to do... There are no missions!!! So far only one game I played had best combination of Economy and Combat and also had 100% payer-run economy – that game was Project Entropia, if there where game like it but with monthly fee that would probably be the best game out there.
And surroundings are really empty!!! - No interactive NPC's or anything that would fill in the vacuum that is most of the environment seems to be in FoM.
1) knowledge of game.
2) time zone compared to your factions main time zone.
3) faction itself.
4) people you meet.
5) your personal attitude.
6) how you interact with others.
etc.
I myself gave game 10 =P
but I have played for a long time and have more patients than you. I could careless if there were no missions one day cause I understand it isn't all about me and there are sometimes problems that make r4+ busy. I recommend getting ventrilo too. It is a voice program every faction uses to communicate. Sometimes there might be 20 people on, but all at some other colony and you don't even know. There are gunna be off days. No game is fun fun fun 24/7. even the idiotic wow massive grind must get boring for people like you. BTW currently rank 3 ex rank 5. I am a teacher in LED, yes this is my job in FoM to teach new people, it has been for a while. If you want tryout LED and if I'm on I'll help you. GMT-5 is my time zone.

i played this game for 3 weeks, so dont tell me not to criticize this game. the only aspect this game has that no other mmo has is the aspect of not having anything. As a result everything in the game is player created, and this everything in the game usually consist of standing around doing nothing but RP. this game is crap and your just too deluded to realize it.
