Legend of Ares

Everyone should know this by now but Legend of Ares open beta is running, if you don't know then I suggest you take a look at the game http://legendofares.netgame.com/

It's not that bad actually for a free MMORPG, the graphics are acceptable and the characters are different for each of the 2 countries, Holy Empire and the Alliance. If you were lucky to get into the beta as soon as it started then you would have got a good IGN mine's Ninja and she's a spearman in the Holy Empire.

I think that the game in the early levels are quite easy to level up but when it gets to levels around 20 it starts to get harder to level. The game still needs a bit of balancing though for the sorcerer becuase although they are the best in PvE they will get owned in PvP becuase they are weak

I advise you try it out though becuase it's a really good game so far but there are still some bugs in some areas of the game. Here's the game link again http://legendofares.netgame.com/

    yeah i tried it but its not like i wanted...maps and stuff are weird.. like u cant walk over all map u gotta teleport :/ from my experience i thought it was fun in the beginning killing wolfs and cheetas.. but now im lvl 23 and everythings boring..And the quest eq u get is much better than what u can loot from monsters

    Unfortunately the game is not at 2006 standards. Maps are somehow weird, graphics are totally outdated, and game experience is also low : classes seems to have inconsistency in skills and also big gaps between classes.

    Pvp seems to me also dissapointing, in high level areas, anyone can kill you no matter what. Maybe a lev 30 sorcerer was not meant to be there, but teleporting in that area is possible from lev 10 i guess and i dont have so much time to spend on grinding/leveling on low mobs areas

    So....not worth the time to download it? Or is this a game I should try out? So far, I've been seeing mostly negative reviews.

    this game does not "exist"...if you like this game...then you havent tryied and of the real MMORPG's out there.

    What is it with all these "asian" click fest games? Like about every game I've tried that originated in asia are just like that...

    They are all so much the same, sometimes you can't remember what game you logged into. *sigh*

    I know it's nothing like WoW or anything like that but at least it's free , I actually hate walking long distances just to get to the high level monsters so I like the teleporters but some of the locations are messed up and you turn up at the wrong place sometimes after using the teleporter. Another thing I hate is that the shops sell only beginner wepaons and armour for up to level 10 or so but after that you have to go out and find your own wepaons and armour by killing monsters which is pretty annoying. And yes I hate all the "click as fast as you can to kill the monsters" stuff in all those games I've tried, it does hurt my fingers and wears down my mouse.

    to be quite honest, I tried this one, and its not even quite as good as some of the other free mmo's out there
    I guess one of my major complaints was that you couldn't move backward, you have to actually turn around
    this isn't so bad except that I'm a sorceror and backing up is majorly necessary for hit and run on some of the stronger monsters

    I noticed that it seemed unbalanced and just plain wierd as well.  There are definately certain classes that are better/ easier to play, especially in PvP

    it really just annoyed me so much that I stopped playing, but I can see how they could improve it so people would ike it more

    perhaps a little more balance, a little more challenging and less boring in the early levels, and, most importantly, a way to move backward lol!

    I tend to agree with you. I'm at a point as soon as I see its asian, I don't go any further. And that really is sad, but until someone in the asian gaming community decides to break the apparently one and only mold, that's the way it is.

    I tried it, thought it was fairly fun at first doing a couple of quests here and there, geting some good items.  Gets old realy fast and its exactly the same as every other asian grind fest out on the market at the moment.

    These companys continue to flood the mmorpg market with the 'Moulded' games over and over again, and yet again i download them, play them for a couple days followed by a good old, uninstall.

    As for the game, like somebody said above.. massive balancing inssues need to be made in my opinion... mages go around kill stealing everything... leveling like 4x faster than everybody else because they 3 hit everything :)

    Main thing is... its a free game.. carnt realy complain i suppose.

    This game looks fun. Yet for some reason, I don't feel drawn to play it. While it looks good, I don't think I want to waste my comp's memory on a game like that. I want to look for a good MMORPG that I'll keep playing...

    Ditto...  I've tried several of these "Asian" free-to-play games and they just don't do it for me...  They all seem similar and rather dull...

    looks like a clon of exactly every other asian game i have seen. I give it a 0 out of 10.

    i agree, im been getting sick of all these mmorpg with the same grinding and lvling sytle, btw you don't have to click to hit, you hold on left mouse click on the mob till circle goes red for warrior to lock on

    i've played this game and it isn't all that bad for a free game. there are currently many bugs and glitches, but the game is still in beta and they add updates to the game once in a while. it does have much potential and could be a very fun game.

    Really, are the developers of this game crazy to develop a crappy game like this?

    The graphics are like 5 years old, game play is a non-stop grind fest.

    Game is considerably slow compared to the crappy graphics it has even with a fast video card.

    This was a weird game.. seen alot of games like it, played it for 5 minutes before i quit... didnt like the camera angle and thought the graphics were not so good. Its ok for a free game though ive seen better

    It gets really grinding after level 15 or so and the quests are really boring to do so this game won't really keep you entertained for a long time, I'm just constantly moving from game to game so I would be playing a different game almost every week.

    I know Asian games are mindless grindfests, and I know this isn't even one of the better ones out there, but I have been having a little fun with it anyway. I don't even know why that one over other ones. But I just play it as a filler, the way some people play solitaire or minesweeper.

    I really got bored of the game and the community isn't great, I don't like the way all the guilds choose to have level restrictions and partying is really hard to find someone to party with. The only thing I like is the teleporting system which is great becasue it means I don't have to walk.
