Really thought that LoTR Online could be the answer to my MMORPG woes...
But after viewing some vids from E3, its looks very much like World of Warcraft with DDO character models, and if they have taken this path with the visual look of the game... I hate to think what the storyline/immersion is going to be like.
No doubt the current announcement of planned PvP will also add to my dismay... have an awful feeling i will have to put up with "ZOMG!!!!!!! I PWNED FRODOZ GAY AZZ!!" yelled several hundred times a day.
Goodbye RP, godbye immersive world... Hello WoW2: The Pwning of the Ring

PS: dont label me a hater, i really wanted this game to be THE ONE, but it appears to have been watered down to match the current crop of souless, dayglo MMO Hack and Slash games that pretend to be RPG's.

Dont get me wrong pal, but why wouldnt we label you a hater.. you are so narrowminded you judge a game you havnt even experienced live or in beta.. So, get real...
You are concerned by PvP, well i was too in EQ2, but now it has its own server, which means i for one does not have to listen to or experience it, unless i want to.. Maybe, just maybe they do the same in this game..
I hereby label you a HATER!
well, chum, Im not judging, im expressing grave concern about a game i have looked forward to for years, my concern being based on screenshots, videos and dev interviews i have seen/read in the past few months. The MMORPG E3 info on LoTR also expressed similar observations.
See that?..Observations... not judgement.
If i was judging/hating, i would say "This game is going to be a bag of bollocks".
And im not narrowminded, im a realist.
I hereby label you BLINKERED!
I agree with you. I have been psyched about this game for a long time now, but after watching the latest videos I have started getting worried.
Will just have to wait and see, but I fear it will end up being like the existing games out there.
I really, really hope you are right mate.
I really do.
