Still we havent had a beta test yet, and they still have content and some class stuff and the PvP to get into the game so I expect end of 2006, early 2007.
But since I dont work there - its just a gut feeling. Only time will tell how accurate my guess is.
What they showed at E3 looked pretty damn good. IMO. Now that they've finally decided on a direction the game will come along quickly is my guess. Probably start beta late 2006 with a spring 2007 launch is my guess..

Let's just say a loooooooooooooooooong time from now - might as well enjoy some single player games that are coming out - infact i wish spore was coming out sooner i could dabble with that forever but until then Tabula Rasa will be the last MMO i ever get i found myself getting furiously bored with them after a couple of days the only one i ever played for years was Ultima online
because i felt like i could do things on my own and wasn't exactly forced to play with anyone else..and hell the healing was the best in any MMO i could heal my self and not have to worry about dying and running all the way back to a village
My guess is it will release by the holiday season this year... In the IGN article, one of the senior producers said TR is "months, not years" away... I think they are taking the stealth development route, and keeping everything under wraps to prevent competition from catching onto their design...
Who knows, maybe they WON'T have a beta... I foresee eventually games not having any beta at all, I think it only makes it worse for everyone in the long run...

Never going to happen - the best way to stress test your servers is to stick a 100,000 players on them.
Better to do this at beta than release.
Plus it allows you test your software on so many different combinations of hardware and software, and occasionally you will get an actual bug report from someone who isnt just playing your game for free
The game is mainly co-op PvE in a sci-fi battlefield setting. From what we know so far expansions will be released for free as new planets to fight over. Although they have said a major expansion may be sold in stores (I am guessing adding vehicles to the game might come under this).
Crafting is a repair / enhance your own equipment type thing.
PvP is not yet in the game, supposed to be included by release but is not the main focus of the game.
So if people are looking for a deep crafting system, or a game focused on PvP I can see how they would find this quickly boring.
Its not planetside or huxley which are both sci-fi MMOFPS PvP games.
Can I ask how your comment relates to release date though?

QFT! Poor poor D&L... so much hype... so little deliverance
I ahve been told Oct 27 I think... by a store owner. I hope thats true, but I have little reason to believe.
Though I want to see this game pretty soon (nr 1 game I'm looking forward to) I have one thing I hope the devs know: Release it when it's ready.
My previous experince from SWG were like it felt like one where playing Beta even after 2 years. So many bugs still in the game, and more came coming with each patch.
Better wait an extra or two months to nail down most of the stuff. A polished game is so much more enjoyable compared to one riddled with bugs.
I think we'll see beta in august-september and release around X-mas. Hopefully we'll see it sooner.

That said - not in the next three months.

Well thats a fair comment.
