Is anyone else's only connection to SWG through the forums. I think reading the forums is more fun that playing the game just to listen to how the majority of the posts are hilarious (as true as they are). I had 5 months left on my account when they SOE layed the death knell on SWG. I just removed the game from my computer and started reading the forums.
I could seriously suggest anyone who has ever played MMO's and gotten mad at them to just read the SWG forums. Reading the shit all the vets have to deal with that is worse than whatever makes you mad at another game will make you realize that at least you have your game and maybe it's not so bad.
Plus the humor on there is well worth the read. They should make comics out of it. It's sad that what makes it so funny is the truth it's laden with.
I support a rollback and keeping & balancing the old combat system.

I whole heartedly agree. My only connection to the community is the forums. Although the official forums I'm more of a reader than a poster as I generaly feel theirs more fun in reading then getting involved.
The comedy is definitely there, as well as the sadness that spawns from those who desperately post in protest or hope that their beloved game will ever be the one they expected it to be.
It is amazing though that some of the vets can maintain a sense of humor, my hats off to them.
I dunno that I find it funny really... It's sort of like watching a bad car wreck in slow motion. You want to look away... you can see the result will be horrible... what you are watching is horrible as well... and yet you can't take your eyes off of it.

The best time to read the SWG forums is in the late evenings, and weekends. The Mods are off work and all those threads that they normally delete within minutes dont get deleted untill either the next morning, or if its a weekend, Monday. The entire front page piles up with anti SOE/NGE posts very quickly.
The Game Play Discussion forum is where most of the "talking" takes place. http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board?board.id=swggpdiscussion
I generally dont even bother with the server forums. They are pretty dead.
Before the cu, i was what you'd call a forum whore
Now, since i dont have a sub, i look in the game play discussion forums every few days, and its amazing how much the posts are the same since the launch of the nge. The same problems are still there and there are STILL roleback threads, no matter how many are deleted and banned.
I dont bother with the eclipse forums anymore, no one really posts there, there are no discussions going on about guilds or pvp, and when someone does post, i've never heard of them, so bleh
So thats why i post here
For the Horde!
Use to read the fourms regularly but then i noticed about a month or two ago the number of posts dramticaly dropped. While it may have been sliding for a while, both servers and proffison boards just are seeminlyg dissappearing.
I glanced today at them and was surprised to see at the few numbers posting now a days. Only once in a while a post breaking 100 +
However i will admit i have been watching the dark & light boards and having lots of fun reading over there. Also glad i wasn't a part of that paticular mess this time.

I don't have a station access pass so I just read wishing I could join in the flaming every once in a while. I don't understand how the Dev's deal with it. They know that of the 1000s of posts everyday in the Game Play Discussion and large majority of them are telling them that we hate them and they suck for ruining our game. Even the few that are not against the Dev's or SOE still are telling them they are wrong.

But as ex/customers dont we have the right to have exactly what we paid for "Empire Divided" if i log in i doubt i will see that version of my game i bought, call it terrorism i just want what i paid for no more no less.
I agreed to "Game experience may change" I DIDNT AGREE TO "Game genre may change" twitch based is it now - still feels like a crap FPS
Well, if the NGE was so great, then WTH are the NGE fanbois doing here posting? You'd think they'd be playing the game they love so much. Instead, they know for a fact the NGE blows and they know it. They're just here flaming the vets.......Prolly some vets flaming old in-game enemies...??? LOL
"I'm not a racist...I only hate stupid people..."-SinisterCB
That's funny, some Pre-CU fanboi was bragging just a little while ago about how the forums during Pre-CU were soooo much more active than they are now. Of course, with everyone playing/grinding AFK back then, I suppose it was easier to do both at once.
