Wish Problems

i finished downloading it..but whenever i open it, it's a black dialouge box that flashes, then closes

what do i do?

    I think this is tied with NDA and you should ask on Beta Forums not here.

    I don't know why they have a NDA on that, it's bassiclly open beta anyway seeing as about 99% of people seem to be getting in. I haven't played the game myself, it looks good though, was half way downloaded when something else pop'd up.

    It is no where near open beta.  This is still beta 1 and the game is about a year from release.  They are doing the testing a little different then what I have grown accustomed to with other betas, they are basically having a "stress test" step on each phase of beta, this is the stress test for beta 1.  In about 2 weeks beta 1 will end and all of us that have just been accepted will be removed from beta as it proceeds to phase 2, where only about 500 testers will remain.  At the end of phase 2 they will bring everyone back that has just been accepted for stress testing again....and so on until the end of beta.

    i still cannot launch the install thing..it's just a black window..

    Don't worry I had similar problems just trying to log into their world servers. I gave up on it, Prince Online has my undivided attention, just as soon as i get back from work.... image

    Your little box poping up is because you do not have directx 9.0 installed re-instlal directx 9.0 and reboot it will work.

    same problem happened to me when i finished the install.

    also the servers are down updating right now so you may not be able to get in and will recieve and error message

    i thought i had dirct x 9...because the radeon 9800xt is fully supportable...

    meh, guess i have to download it..

    yea, i thought i had the latest direct xi till i restarted wish about 20 times and it said something about NO DX tried downloading directx and fixed all the problems

    try posting on there message board they reply pretty good, there is a problem with g4 mx cards too.

    dont worry you arent missing much i cant even play with the lag its so bad. 30-45 second intervals

    Granted I am being a bit nosy but I am curious to see if this fixes the problem.

    There are two version downloads for directx 9.0

    try both.  It maybe a bit tedious but the bug could be with the combatability.

    Make sure you install 9.0b, it has been known to cause problems with certain hardware although I have only had minor problems.

    this is the one my friend installed on my puter for me now whether it is different or not I don't know but I don't seem to have any problems with interface errors.

    I thought it was a different version but it just might have added features.image
