    i dont know i dont really pay attention to world aspect of soccer.

    I play soccer myself though, love it...wish it was viewed the same in the US as it is thorughout the world but oh well

    brazil will prob kick some ass...

    England will do decent but without Rooney they're screwed. Italy is doomed with all the ugly scandals plauging it. Germany might have too many young players. Netherlands might self-destruct as usual. Argentina... meh, but who knows. Brazil can win it if it doesn't collapse into itself thanks to the sheer talent and egos of its players.

    3.Portugal

    I don't think Argentina will be that good... germany will be a total failure.... Netherlands, don't think so.

    Well maybe not, but it would be great to see two smaller teams in the final like the last European championships when it was portugal and greece in the final.

    Sry, you made me :   laugh and get shocked....

    So you know, although greece is a small team, Portugal isn't... By the time of Euro2000 Portugal was on 7th place of the FIFA ranking or so... Now they are in 10th or so.... I don't think a team in the world's top ten could be considered a small team

    Would be realy great to see England win it, being english and all, we have a great team... and with Steve Gerard playing, im sure he can save the day once again like he has done in the last 2 finals Liverpool has been in ;).  Lets hope Crouch can score lots more goals, got to love his robot dance :D

    But realisticaly Brazil and France also have a good chance imo ;)

    I think you'd have to say Brazil is the favorite. Behind them the Netherlands has a real shot, as does England. Losing Rooney (aasuming he is out for the duration) hurts them of course, but unlike some teams England has other strikers that can step in and do the job.

    Among the second tier of teams that have a decent chance are Argentina, Germany (being the home team helps an otherwise not too impressive squad), Italy, and perhap Portugal. I don't think France has the depth and youth to make it all the way. Some say Poland has impressed lately, but I have not seen them.

    Most of the other countries, including the US, fall into the third group. The "We need a miracle, but it aint impossible" group. I'd say the only teams who have no chance whatsoever are Trinidad & Tobago, Angola, Togo, and Tunisia. Yeah I know, FIFA has Tunisia ranked 21 in the world but FIFA rankings suck, and so does Tunisia.

    FWIW, I'd put the US chances at about 50-1. That's not too bad actually, considering how awful we used to be.

    If Europe wasn't having freakishly good weather, I wouldn't say Brazil as they have only won the World Cup once in Europe (when Pele was in the squad). I still don't think Brazil will win, France or Holland I reckon.
