It sucked.... it was sooo far from being ready for release. Of course I haven't tried it again for 4 months but I can't imagine much change.
Maybe Ill try it again sometime.

A: it hasn't even been released yet and til it does like every other mmo that is announced anymore is vaporware.
B: it's a historical game, not a science fiction game.
I can go to UO if I just want sandbox style play since there is NO game that has ever done it better.

I'm anxiously waiting for Roma Victor, because if they deliver, I think they'll improve on the UO formula.

Im anxious too, merely because what they are trying to do is ambitious. But, like has been mentioned, they have a long way to go. Im anxious too, merely because what they are trying to do is ambitious. But, like has been mentioned, they have a long way to go.

I'm looking forward to Roma Victor even though the graphics look somewhat sub-par. I just want back into a game with a good crafting skills setup, large areas to explore and sandbox based.
One thing that might be a deal breaker is the payment system. If it's too far out of line with the $15 a month standard then they'll lose me. It's just a game, I won't give up eating for it.

Not one damn arm waving, magic spitting elf on the planet.
I am looking forward to RV release. Sure it will be a new game, with hickups when it is going public (most MMO's have, when they are going public). And I agree the graphics doesn't look to well. BUT, the gameplay and sandbox mentality that makes this game should do more than enough to let the game be worth it nevertheless.
I could be wrong, in which case I will not play it for very long.

I think seperate servers that allow you to buy in game stuff for real money from the company running the game are the way to go. Then, those that are into that kind of thing can do so securly and easily and it doesn't have to bother the other gamers like myself.
RV leaves you no other option as far as I can tell. I know, directly after telling you they'll sell you game cash for real life cash someone will try to downplay it or whatever. I don't care how it's spun. I'll pass... it's a shame too.

Once RV is released you can comment about the game but till then its just hype till proven otherwise.
Take a look at DnL.
