Vuuar asks to hype the game on MMORPG.com

I have heard, from a reliable source, that yesterday Vuuar asked his followers on the DnL Irc chat to over hype the game on MMORPG.com and give it a straight 10.

Apparently, he has already asked that kind of thing when the game was in beta, so it's kinda like an ongoing tradition.

Fear not though, I doubt they will be able to change the pathetic score the game has reached as of now (3.7 ).

    Gratz for your first post.

    But your source aren't reliable, i was in the IRC channel when Vuuar said that he was here at the beginning of the poll, and that in 1 hours a lot of people rated DnL with scores near to Zero.

    I can't rate it now (don't have the required level in stars) But i really disagree with this score. Perhpas, one day, i'll be able to rate it better.

    Now where does that complement your first post? Sorry, but Vuuar is stating something completely different than your interpretation in the OP.

    You're right, it does not match *exactly* with what I wrote in the first post.

    In fact I'm stilll waiting for the files from my source, who happens to be having some exams as of now.
    Sooo, it's taking time...but I'll post them when I have them :P

    As for what I translated, for me Vuuar certainly implies that the game needs a 10 here and there, even if he does not asks for it explicitely.
    But we'll see the rest of the logs when I can have them.

    That's interpreting what someone is saying without looking at what he's saying.
    Reminds me of the Dutch saying "De wens is de vader van de gedachte" (sorry, don't know the equivalent of an English saying), but it roughly means: trying to interpret what you read as you want it to see it fit your ideas...

    I see you have a job waiting for you in the National Enquirer , taking one statement and interpreting it to mean something different for your own purposes. The quote certainly does not match up to the statement you purport that Vuuar, if the game irritates you that much just move on, Me ? i'll be using my 'free' two months to see how the game evolves, I had the chance to cancel my pioneer membership long ago but decided to hang around to see what would develop from an almost painful start, time will tell. If nothing else its very different from the current crop of MMO's

    Yes the game does certainly not deserve 3's everywhere.  In fact it does not even deserve a 1 at all.  Unfortuntaloy thats the lowest we can rate the game even though it deserves much worse.  We are not talking about just a bad game here but rather the worst game ever made.  A 3 is far to high a rating.

    Apparently he has some pride in his game and is showing it, Is a personal opinion not allowed in your world ? If you think anyone who has been associated with DnL Beta or otherwise is going to throw the  game 10's when the don't think it derserves them you have a poor opinion of people. I'd personally rate the game around 6 atm. It certainly doesn't rate 0's which all the zealots seem to think it does, I'd guess your one of them the way you seem to  be holding to your expose 'Man has personal opinion, Lynch him'.

    But as you can see, my translation at least is honest.
    And as I said on the off forums, if my source appears to be wrong, I'll ask for the deletion of this thread.

    But for now, I'll just keep on waiting.

    So is Vuuar saying he was on MMORPG site when rating started?

    If so it seems strange he is hanging around here when DnL is in great need of his services. It could also acount for some of the weird fanboi posts we have just started getting.

    One of the guidelines in the ratings is community, yet those who support the game keep calling everyone hatebois and morons for pointing out the obvious flaws with the game, the contradiction then causes more squabbling (if that was possible) and further influences people at rating the game even lower?

    How does this make any sense to those of you wanting this game to succeed?

    P.S. DnL is the worst game ever made, you hear that Vuaar? We all know its you or your lackies behind this sudden crop of fanboi posts. How sad for you, that you game is the worst ever made. Maybe you shoulda put in some effort? Sucks to be you. Or someone who has given you money.

    Im really hoping that somewhere like gamespot or ign reviews this game so that everyone can see how dreadful the release is.

    I dont think gamespot or ign review downloadable games though. So its upto websites like this, but mainly word of mouth, to make sure everyone knows that its $50 wasted.

    Well you can just purchase the game and refund it and continue playing it. It's not like they delete your account.

    Though there is nothing to play. It's an empty world and its absolute trash with nothing to do in it. Pacman had better visuals.
