DnL is over - The servers are down forever!

Gotcha :)

It scares me everytime the servers go down tho - Sitting on my butt waiting for them to fix the bugs (because I have no life) is one thing but is there a legitimate chance that theyre going to cut their losses without warning?

No I dont think so. If it does close down, I think we can all pretty much assume it will be with much drama and accusations against those that did not stay with them. They are refusing to shoulder the blame for the state of the game as it is now, they will certainly shout loud and clear that it was anything other than their own guileless display of incompetency in every respect. The drama will be big and the fault laid at the feet of others.

    You probably got it right,

lots of blaming of the "anti-DnL" people and saying it wasn't their fault, its becasue they're a small company

    That is just plum bizzarre.

Like I've stated before in other threads, I knew nothing of the back and forth flame wars that have been going on here and other places for last year or so.

Unfortunately, I bought the game blind, and I'm still shaking with anger about such a huge rip off.

But for them to blame those detractors for the game being the PoS it is today?

PS. I've also begun to notice on the other Games in Development forums people try to say "this game is a failure." Strange how people like to do this. I mean after all, aren't we all fans of mmorpgs? Why would we WANT to see them fail?

Yes, its true what they do with the fault line here and in their own forums. Yes, we all have one common goal, a good mmo. Unfortunately, DNL doesnt see it that way when ppl simply refuse to follow them.

Indeed. Like I said before, just sit back and watch the action on this board and its quite clear there is an extremely high pitched competition going on. The antics of the Developers are incredible matched against those that have an honest opinion that is quite contrary than what they actually wish you to believe. Its predictable to the point where you think back to your high school days and get back inside it...what would a high schooler do? And watch, they come out as predicted. Human behavior at its best.

Thats the only thread they have left. Everything else they have hotly disputed have been proved correctly. Even the old "potential" is starting to lose its crispness due to its extreme overuse. So naturally, instead of taking the blame for its complete and utter failure, who better to blame than the ones who called them out in the first place? If it wasnt for them, there might be a whopping 100 ppl still believing in it after release. As it stands, many are simply waiting out thier free month(s).
