Planeshift is gonna be awsome

  Planeshift has more potential then even pay to play games that i've played. Not only will it be free to all, but the final content seems like it will rival even the newest P2P game out there. I've been following the game and playing, and even through the beta stage it's at right now I can't believe what it's going to be like. There is so much potential for this game. After you get past the slow start usually with the help of a existing player it gets much better. Already the grahpics are pulling out to what looks like a beefed up everquest. I think that not only should people get this game, but keep it... It's only going to get better, much better. I remember when I played in it's earlier stage, even then it seemed ok, but not enough to really pull me into it. now it's got me hooked and even if I do happen to get bored with it. I know better than to uninstall, for I can't wait to see the additions and what's coming next.

    Yeah ive had a close eye on this game for a few years now.  It will be mindblowing when released.

    Whenever release will be....
    I'm pretty sure by that time I'll be entrenched in a new game. *hope*
    Planeshift does have potentional, but I'm all out of patience.

    I have been beta testing this for several years now. My characters are Shinsha & LadyShinsha, a human & a cat. I haven't been on for at lease 11 months now.  They have come quite far in the graphics since is first started.  I still recieve the developer update mailers.  It seems they have done some new major updates in all areas of game play.  I guess I will have to re-install the game and check out the changes.  Picking up chrystals in the catacombs got a little old after a few months. :) But you have to give these guys credit, they are taking their time and creating this game for free, and dedicated to making it bug free as possible, while still aiming for quality graphics and fun gaming, not easy on a shoe string budget.

    I look at their site every few months... the screenshots look the exact same as it did a year ago. I think they are progressing far too slowly to have it ever released. YES i know its free! But at the rate they are going at it will be like 5 more years or something rediculous.

    How many years has it been already? I just logged into the forum and it says i registered JAN 2002. And they use ot be on another site before that one... So they have been plugging away since 2001. I guess I could look at it again but the last time I looked at it it was pretty disapointing.

    I checked this game out a long time ago as well, and for the moment it seemed like it could be pretty cool. I haven't been following it closely since then but I've curious to see how it will turn out whenever it releases (hopefully it does seeing as it may be a good free game for people who tend to enjoy those more).

    Well, some good things I have to say about this game is that the graphics, interface, and community are really outdone. Nice community, good graphics, and a not too shabby interface. Sure, it'll take a while for it to finally be finished, but I think its going to be worth it. Its not everday you come accross a game thats free and has as much dev involvement to getting rid of bugs as this game.
