Hey guys!
I've played WoW and guild wars, and its has been getting boring and starting to me me sick lol.I just want to know the downfall of the game,please just tell me everything that is not good about the game and please be honest....pluse tell me what are the good things 
.Just want to know what i might be getting into.

yeah i've heard that getting a group is really hard in FFXI but that dosent really worry me, i live in australia and whenever i'm playing WoW its always hard to find a group lol.Well i've read some of the stuff on the offical website and i was quite interested in it and how big the world is in FFXi.do you have to pay for each character you make i forgot (if so how much)? One more thing is FFXI a drain like WoW or you get to do something new all the time?

Ok I have been plying FFXI for about 5 months now off and on and a lvl 56 blm. I absolutley love this game but there r downfalls:
Pros:
1. Awesome Community
2. Loads of content
3.Little to no lag even in the biggest events
4.End game stuff
5.Huge areas to explore and enemies to find to get uber loot
6.Great story, very immersive
7. Strong team oriented combat-for example you try to build "skill chains" off eachother to do more damage
Cons:
1.Waiting for grps becomes a pain in the arsh
2.Money is a big issue
3.Some content in the game is extremely difficult and u need alot of ppl to accomplish
4.Grind.Grind.Grind(but what mmo isnt)
5. Don't know if this matters but no real good pvp
6.Can't solo really after lvl 10 besides some missions and other tasks.
8.Just comparing to WoW, WoW was more action packed for me when FFXI is almost turned based.
WoW was extremely fun but at the end of the day i felt like i didnt accomplish anything now in FFXI every day I am proud about reaching a lvl after 3 hrs of hard work or finally getting a higher rank.
Now to answer ur question every character after ur main is $1 to ur monthly subscription. So u orignally pay $ a month with 1 main and 2 mules ull be paying a wow sub. And the world is huge!!! and dangerous! You can go into different dimentions,different continents and even go into the sky and fight the toughest of the toughest...Gods.
Well from what you say xflkid you put FFXI to be a really good RPGMMO i always liked a challenge in a game and ill find it to be good playing FFXI.Plus i wanted to add grinding i dont have a problem with example WoW grinding was easy from what i heard was hard and i just laugh at it now.Oh yeah money haha that wont be a problem unless FFxI is big on the farmers then ill have a problem

I'm also considering buying FFXI, i think you've cover'd almost everything I need to know,
my only question is what is the character customization like (appearence-wise)
Is it as good as the SWG character creation,
or is it as bad as MxO?
Someone please let me know, (its a little sad, hehe, but its a big issue to me, lol).
It's pretty bad, unfortunately, mainly due to the PS2's inability to have a large number of models loaded into memory at once, which means there's a need to cut down on the probability of a large number of different models present in a scene. After sorting into the eight possible race/sex combinations, you get a choice of eight difference face types, each with two different hair colors, and you can choose one of three sizes for the character. That's it. 384 possibilities all told.

caus that would really suck! hehe
Still, if the game play is good i suppose i could live with it.
