Ok there have been alot of talk about this being the WoW killer and how War rocks.(and they are all correct except one thing) DAoC is the WoW killer I mean as the time ticks by all the old DAoC players are leaving WoW for DAoC again and now the population is goning back up. But the thing is you want to know why WoW did so well, you really do, CAUSE BLIZZARD IS ON THE BOX how many of the people do you think would get the game if it was called "Age of war" or "killing cartoons" uhhhh almost noone but the little imature kiddies that everyone posts about. You want to know what DAoC is, its the poison in WoW's food while WAR will be the hitman who shoots it in the head. I guarantee that WoW will have half the fan base by the time WAR is in its 6th month I mean I am easyliy bringing my friends from WoW to DAoC cause they don't like all the problems on WoW.

The post was badly written however I understood what he said and perhaps I'd have to agree with him.

Sorry can't agree on this. The reason why WOW is such a big game is because it targets non-gamers and kids. There is no depth to the game at all, but since it is easy it makes it fun to play. Those people who want more out of their games are easily swayed by DAOC since it has way more depth. You can actually attack for something in DAOC and defend. These battles are exactly what WAR is going to be about. It becomes fun when you can actually take over someone elses land and hold it for some time. Or to defend your land and keep people out.
Personally if Blizard added RVR style play into WOW then I think you would see a substantial shift in number of players. Make that 60 and fight to defend the land.
Is WAR going to apeal to everyone?? No way. Some people love the social aspects of WOW and don't want to PVP or RVR. They want a simple game to play and not get too deep into it. WAR is really for gamers. Those who want to get fully emersed into the system. Does it really matter who is going to have the highest number of subscribers? No way. The only thing that matters is that YOU enjoy the game you play.

This proves that even a blind person can play WoW.... and I think I agree with him, btw. I can't see liking WoW just for the social aspect - it has one of the crummiest communities out there. Hazing and epeen jokes are all over tradechannel and forums. 1-60 is fun that's about it.

The problem with your post is that you are comparing what WOW is today with what WAR will be 1-1.5 years from now (6 months after release). WOW could put out 1or 2 major expansions before WAR is released that fixes or improves their endgame/PVP problems. As for WOW losing 3 million subscribers because of WAR...I don''t see that happening. At this point I think the only thing that can kill WOW is WOW itself.

clearing up a few things
1. i am not caomparing any games but DAoC and WoW but i feel that with the direction WAR is headed that it will knock WoW out of here.
2. I don't even get what the first guy meant i mean i don't play WoW cause i don't like it so why would it matter if WoW keeps on trucking if i am going to play WAR anyways.
3. Also i beleave that since it apeals to peopole that are noobs then what happens when they get better at it and see games like DAoC and WAR being better.
4. plus this website agreas with me the members do cause i font see any blizzard on the top list i mean if i am not mistaken at the time DAoC is in 3rd so ok
