Did you want to wear the Plate armor, Chain/Scale mail, Studded Leather armor? You already said you wanted to weild a 2h weapon, but what kind? An Axe, Sword, or Hammer? Did you want any magic?

There are many classes that can be considered a warrior when your only goal is to weild a 2h weapon. I/We need you to be a little more descriptive.

    Thanks.

P.S.- Think about what setting you like better also. The Nordic Viking setting with a grayish world and snow on the ground, or a civilized perfect structured clean setting like Camelot, or a lush green atmosphere that is drenched in Magic?

Their are many melee classes in the game, but if you want to run just a pure wepon class that has no other skills than use of wepons you got 3 choses,

IN albion you got the Armsman- The only true tank in the game that can wear plate armor. They can use every wepon in the realm with the exception of the flex type and the bows. These are the front line defneders of Albion. if you want huge damg go polearm. If you wanna go two hand make shure to spec in bas skill aka. slah and get a a slash-two hand wep, make shure you put the rest of your ots into parry since your not using a shield.

In Midgard, you have the option to become a warrior. The warrior is the only class in the game that does not have to spec into two different lines to be an effective two hand fighter. Warriors do not have the wepon libary like the Armsman nor can it use plate, it is resticted to using Chain. Even though of these short commings you aonly need to spec into axe and those skills you learn can be used with botha one-hand and two-hand weps. This is a good offensive tank.

The last true melee class of the game is the hero of hiberina. this is by far the waekest of all the tank classes in the game because it does not spec in offensive or defense. Hibs mostly use magic. The only unique skill that the hero has it that theu can metemorph into a beast to give them a boost of attack power and hp.

If you wish to learn more about these and other DAOC classes in further detail please visist:

The best two-handed sword characters are hybrid tanks.. meaning they have good dps AND a nice selection of special abilites. For example:

The Champion in Hibernia has really neat instant debuffs and direct damage spells.

The Paladin in Albion has some nice group enhancing chants(Though most people prefer using sword and shield with the paladin, because of the nice shield skills)

The Skald in Midgard uses group chants that increase movement speed and the likes. Very handy.

These are my top 3 favourites in all three realms in terms of coolness and effectiveness with a two-handed sword.

Been more than two years since i played this game, so some things might have changed.

With its instant debuffs and realm rank 5 ability the champion is quite overpowered in many situations.
