Conflict Omega (like TW)
Huxley
Roma Victor
Can't think of two others, sorry.
I am looking forward to see HERO ONLINE.
I have played its japanese version by the introduction from my japanese friend and it was very good.
Since i can't read japanese, it took me a very long time to raise my level up to 20 but this game was great.
I heard that closed beta is starting 6/15 and got digital key from MMORPG.COM.
It's a big hit in Korea, China and Japan and i know it is going to be a big hit in the US and Europe too.
Its teaser site: http://hero.netgame.com
2. Vanguard
3. Probably Darkfall.
And then after that not really sure, perhaps anything thats non traditional fantasy, as the fantasy ones seem to be coming up with the same stuff.
Right now I'd have to say:
1.) Age of Conan, as I am an admirer of Funcoms work as well as Conan so it's an all around + for me.
2.) Star Trek Online. I have always enjoyed the Star Trek Universe, just short of Trekkie fanaticism.
3.) Warhammer Online, just to see if WoW can keep up against the originals.
All the titles are being brought to us by indie developers, and the Huge corporation / Safe bets factor doesn't affect the process. None of these games come out with tried and tested concepts that such companies as EA could bring themselves to create.
You might even find that the grind isn't a critical element... (Try to tell me its impossible!)
The future: Adellion
Common flaw in MMORPGs: The ability to die casually
Advantages of Adellion: Dynamic world (affected by its inhabitants)
Player-driven world (beasts won't be an endless supply of mighty swords, gold will come from mines, not dragonly dens)
Player-driven world (Leadership is the privilege of a player, not an npc)
Adellion? Geez, your middle names must be "patience" and "I live in hope".
I'd love to see any of the good Japanese MMOs come over too, like Master of Epic or Tales of Eternia Online. Doubtful though, they're fairly insular. Come on, they've got Uncharted Waters Online, they already have a pirate MMO, and we're still waiting.
Hero Online looks decent, although I suppose I have to see it in action before final judgement.
That aside, I'm starting to give up...
2. Vanguard: SoH
3. Age of Conan / Darkfall - if Vanguard turns out to be shit
I know more of what's going on there at this time than you do, believe me. The team is on track with a plan. The original game concept was a strategy game in java/browser, and they have since changed it to a 3D roleplaying game using Torque.
I don't say more because... ok, I'm under an NDA and I'm not one to break trust.
Have I seen you over at the forums by the way? When did you last visit?

WAR. If it's like WOW but with much better PvP,it would surpass WOW by a long way.
Darkfall. Aimed combat/spells,open PvP. I'll probably be waiting ages though, but I think it's worth the wait.
Fallen Earth. It seems to be like Second Life, but with a more combat-oriented style of gameplay. Build houses, fight PvE aliens, etc. Sounds decent.
Why would I go over to the forums? Is that a pre-requisite to know that Adellion has been in vapourware/development stage for about as long as Duke Nukem Forever?
I'm just remarking that you have inordinate patience to follow a game that most people gave up on as vapourware circa 2001.
Good luck.
2: Lord of the rings Online
3:Aion/Ragnarok online 2 (can't pick)
2. Vanguard: SOA (been following it for like 3 years, can't wait)
3. Huxley (not too many MMOFPS's and this, with its environments and upgrades etc looks to be something special)
No longer visiting MMORPG.com.
2. Hero's Journey
3. and, I guess Chronicles of The Spellborn.
1- BioWare, whatever they do, it is going to change our lives, probably for the best!
2- Heroes Journey, however, my inner criticism is in alert and tell me to NOT trust them, to NOT have big hopes...despite the fact that everything I read from them sound right, something feels wrong, and the fact that I can't get rid of this feeling or pinpoint what raise it is certainly unsecuring.
3- Warhammer, as a fan I have to try it, I don't hold much hope for the game now, but I will try it, many things I read displease me...yet...I have to try it. Just like I play DAoC for 2 weeks, there was nice stuff and innovation in DAoC, it was just not appealing as a whole, so I left, PvP enforcement is just as bad as raiding if not worser. But, Warhammer deserves a try, didn't it?
(AION have browse some interest, I am watching from the corner of my eyes, as a 4th title)
In the meanwhile, I plan on playing CoV and I expect those games to be AHEAD of CoV gameplay-wise, not a setback...which I am not entirely sure they will be...except for the all-mighty BioWare of course, Overlord of all that is RPG!

Unfortunately due to time constraints I can't afford to look forward to to multiple MMOs, so I'll be a very selective, hard to please consumer
