Anyone noticed ?

SOE keeps saying there will be no rollback... but i've never really found anything against turning current servers (like 3 of em or more...) into fresh pre-cu type server.

I think people are actually asking for the wrong thing when they keep crying for a rollback !  I mean if they do a total rollback, it's gonna be HELL !  People will cry and whine so hard because of this and that...

So how about SOE making classic server instead of rolling back ??

    Unless i have my char save file on my computer instead of on $OE's server there is no getting more cash off me.

    I say this so when they do somin stupid again at least my char is safe for a 3rd clean server wipe!

    Its hell either way as long as SOE/LA is involved. Why theyre still have a contract with this company is beyond me. None of this rollback or classic server means crap unless SOE/LA is out of the picture

    If SOE had two different games going, classic and NGE, the player bases of the classic server would eventually DEMAND new content and for SOE to make every new expansion for the NGE avialable to classic servers as well, so I don't blame SOE for not going down that hellish road.  As it is, they can't keep up with patches for the game in its current neutered state, imagine classic server players DEMANDING equal new content that the NGE servers get.

    I don't understand how you guys who are former vets still have any hope for this game.  Let's say they rolled back the game tomorrow, do you really trust them to keep it bristine and not mess with the core mechanics of the game any more?  You are aware SOE just can't keep from messing the game up every patch, right?  So how come you guys hang out here, talking fondly of pre-cu, as if somehow if those days were to come back, SOE would let you live happily ever after.

    I'm a pre-cu vet, left just before JTL came out.  I came back to try out the NGE and quit after 3 months.  SOE has not changed one bit during my long departure and I doubt they will change within the lifetime of the game, so why do you guys dream of some utopian moment when pre-cu will come back and you'll live happily ever after with SOE never daring to crush your fondest hopes ever again?  Time to move on, this game is dead.

    Neither Sony nor LA will ever touch my money again. If they roll it back and stop charging for it, they can still go f**k themselves. I don't want their games in my house. Not unless they're emulated.

    I would probably come back for a classic server, however it's only as a matter of default as I haven't found a game I liked as much as the original SWG. I just wish I didn't have to put up with SOE's crap to get it.

    They also say there will be no classic server, but we don't want to believe since they lied us enough.

       i still could see them bring out a "unique box set" for holiday market where the servers will be offered but one must pay ( again ) 29.99 to have axcess to those servers. I also am willing to bet they will make some funds off of this stragedy as well

    How exactly is it stealing? I bought the game. Honestly, just read one of the many, many posts explaining this issue. If you still think it's stealing, you're a tard and I don't want you in the Emu anyway.

    Yes, it might be dreaming... but some still hope they will pull it off.  They are doing it for EQ1 (classic server)... why not SWG ?  The only thing the EMU can acheive is speed up the process of actual real classic server.

    I resubbed EQ just for the combine server and me and my friends can't wait.

    Things can change, and nothing is set in stone.

    Remember the Devs saying "CU is here to STAY"?

    It didn't even make it 2 months before they obviously decided to go NGE.

    If the numbers keep falling and everyone screams CLASSIC SERVERS or ROLLBACK, eventually they WILL do classic servers at the very least.
