At the moment...I haven't played the game too much. I have a Teras Kasi charecter that I am trying to make on Star Wars Galaxies. I play maybe 1 hour every week. If that, haven't touched him for a while.
The game itself is good but you have to pace yourself while playing the game. As like all games it can get old but in the end the game is pretty good. The thing that's keeping me in game right would be the future possibilites for this game - Rock on!

playing FFXI. being an old EQ vet, and having tried and/or beta'ed DAoC, SB, SWG, Eve, Horizons, Sims and you name it !!! I like FFXI best so far, but I'm looking forward to seeing the release of EQII, WoW, and L2.
Reading this entire thread is interesting because it seems like most people, like myself, are waiting on the next best thing. I've done this many times before with other games, mostly non-MMORPGs but the feeling is still the same: a huge let down because I've built it up and read every review and searched through every scrap on the internet only to find out it doesn't keep my interest like I thought it would.
I'm waiting on trying the Big 4 (UXO, WoW, EQ2 and Lin2) but really not that interested in others this year unless they somehow fall in my lap or a gamer/author that I know highly recommends it. I'm hoping one of these will redeem my MMORPG faith.
And, it's not that I'm a UXO nut (the graphics look nice but are not as impressive as EQ2's), but they really seem to have some thoughts on the game that appeal to me as a person that can't devote 40 hours a week to an MMORPG. That being said, EQ2 seems to have some interesting ideas, too, that depart somewhat from UXO's. I don't know....I'm getting too worked up....gotta remember the "disappointment factor"..... This year looks to be a good year for new-release-potential!!!
I just won a beta key for Ryzom, so I'll be playing that for a while. I expect it will be pretty cool. I understand the whole let-down factor though. I don't think anyone will ever come out with THE MMORPG. At least, not in my lifetime. It's depressing and frustrating. We hang out and wait every day, looking for that right combination of game features, story line, artwork, etc., but the big list is slow to change, and nothing quite looks right. We get hyped up for the next big release, and then it's out, and then you like it, but not enough to quit your old mmo, so you wind up paying for both, and only really liking half of each. I've just quit everything and I'm sating my mmo thirst with betas. Because I can't afford to have one game for each game feature I'm fond of. We really kinda need one game to come along and put everything together. I've been trying to work this problem in my mind for a couple years now. It's a real riddle. I've got my idea of what I think would be the next step in the evolution of the MMO, but then I realize that I'm just a freaggin grade school teacher. So why do I bother torturing myself with these conundrums? If I come up with something, who's gonna listen? Well, yeah, I'm getting off topic here, but TalionNelson just said something that really hit home with me. So anyway, yeah, it's all Ryzom for me for a while unless it really sucks, and then hopefully I'll have another one lined up.

Well as for me... I am more of a Medival MMO lover so some of what others are getting into or waiting for are not my flavor.
As for now I am just Beta testing Wish. NC
However I am waiting for MEO and maybe EQ2, eventhough I never really got into EQ. Maybe EQ2 will work for me. But the big one I am waiting on is D&D Online. It won't even be out till sometime in 2005, but of course what I think it will be like it will be an awesome game, but I bet like most others it will only be a let down. However Gary Gygax is working on his own MMO, which I am surprised of which will be called Lejedary Adventures. I am keeping my eye out on that one.
But like most I guess I am waiting for that game that will hook me up introveniously to my computer like my old favorite did, AC that is ... I know some of you don't like It, but hey, I loved it....To me EQ was for the other guy, not my thing.
However, I think and am hoping that MEO will be my next addiction, if not then I cross my fingers for EQ2. If not, then back to clicking on the Game list here at MMORPG.com ....and if that doesn't work, well then back to NwN.
I just started playing Asherons Call 2 again after a year long hiatus. It's definately become a decently playable and fun game. I'll be the first to admit that it started pretty shitty(note the year long hiatus). I can't believe the change. If anybody out their is willing to shell out the 15 bucks a month it is definately worth it. You can even play for free right now for 15 days!!! Why wouldn't you try it? If you have a high end machine the graphics are beyond stellar!

SWG and Horizons. Looking forward most to City of Heroes and Warhammer. Will try out some of the others.
